would have to be some spar to take out a gull

i do agree but have you seen the size of some of then hen sparrow hawks there's one that flys down the back of my loft most mornings people around were i live have found seagull, magpies, doves, wood pigeons with hole in the neck and breast all wripped off it could be a hen sparrow hawk that took the gull or it could be goshawk if it goshawk i hope not as an attack that close near pigeon loft isnt good as when they get a bead on your birds your knacked wont stop until they have wipped the lot out

all the best.

Sparrowhawk kills its prey on the ground.. and eats the breast meat..

Its 100% a sparrowhawk.. could possibly be a cock sparrowhawk tho..

No far too big for a male, definately female s/hawk

shut  you   idiot a  musket wouldnt be able to take  that   at   all      and  a  female would  find  it  very hard to  hold  that

I'm impressed someone on here knows a male s/ hawk is a musket  ;)

So its harder to catch a seagull than a small bird..??

look  mate  i fly a  1.7lb   falcon   and he  would  struggle to hold   a  gull   never mind  a   spar that  weight   9-12 oz
