Roland Posted March 22, 2010 Report Posted March 22, 2010 I have a swing trap - cat proof - that I'll willingly give you. It is slightly weighted - amount upto you -which means the birds can enter - even have an open loft - but if a cat, or anything over a couple of pounds sets foot on it, it littuully falls downwards and locks the loft where as the cat falls into a bath of water... :-/ In fact I'll deliver it this Wednesday - hopefully it will be Wednesday, when I visit Stan the man and go onto Grantham, if you are interested.
marmite Posted March 22, 2010 Report Posted March 22, 2010 preferabbly a water butt with the lid shut tight

steve d Posted March 22, 2010 Report Posted March 22, 2010 gutted for you both :( :( one thing for sure it will be back, get a trap set as soon as u can Klaus, it makes your blood boil, if your dog got into a neighbours garden and killed their pet rabbit (as mine did) then all hell would have broken loose with visits from the police about your dog, most cat owners I know are irresponsible and leave their animals to look for food themselves. :(

retired Posted March 22, 2010 Report Posted March 22, 2010 Sorry to hear about this Bakes. I bought 2 Jos Thones from Blythy1 last night on here - Your welcome to one of them when there ready as a replacement. Be wary of any other birds that the cat has clawed or attacked as i found out to my own regret last year - Cat had clawed the bird and despite treating the wound properly the bird still died - someone suggested to me that this is regular when a cat attacks a bird - The bird was fine on theday it was injured, over the course of 48 hours after it dropped weight and subsequently died.
grizzal Posted March 22, 2010 Report Posted March 22, 2010 sorry to hear this m8 >,time for the cat to go on holiday[a long one]
billt Posted March 22, 2010 Report Posted March 22, 2010 Sorry to hear that K & N, should have given the neibour the remains and told him his cat had eaten 100 quids worth, shame to waste the last 20 quids worth.
Guest Owen Posted March 22, 2010 Report Posted March 22, 2010 I am very sorry for your troubles. If the cat has drawn blood from any of your birds, you will need to inject them with antibiotics. Cats cause infections that will kill your birds. I hope you did'nt mind me mentioning it. Best of luck for the future Owen
