budgie Posted July 4, 2008 Report Posted July 4, 2008 Does anyone know the entry and the breakdown in the sections .Lets hope they go tommorrow 1st thing, the Pigeon Navigation Multi-Day Forecast is in the Green with the Met-Office showing outbreaks of rain at first but clearing well for the rest of the day and for the First time This year South West Winds turning later on the day to due East which should help the Wise men from the West tae win another National.Good luck to all and lets hope the guys today at Tarbes get good returns. :)

budgie Posted July 5, 2008 Author Report Posted July 5, 2008 Tours pigeons were liberated at 8.45am L.W.S.W in ideal conditions with the Winds in London 20mls, Manchester 13mls,York 12mls turning to E,S,E, Carlise 14mls S.E and finally Strathclyde almost due East. At 45 mph into the Central Belt pigeons ,with a bit of luck will be timed around the 10.00pm mark.Good luck and can we keep the thread updated on any arrivals.May i also at this time congratulate G.Rankin & Son on winning the Lanarkshire Social Circle from Alencon with their Mealy Cock flying 533 miles with a velocity of 961 and to the 9 remaining members left competing for the Gold Cup. The birdage is made up of Region A/73,B/59,C/47,D/12,E/95,F/1,and G/13 total 300birds. :(

budgie Posted July 5, 2008 Author Report Posted July 5, 2008 Gloucester Fed are taking 2hrs 26mins to do 149miles and at that rate there will be pigeons into Scotland tonight earlier than we predict. :-/ :-/( 10.30mins) :-/ :-/.And lets not forget yesterday,s race from Tarbes when the race conditions were similar and they were timing pigeons into York 748 miles on the night.
