REDCHEQHEN Posted April 23, 2009 Report Posted April 23, 2009 NEHU FOLKESTONE MAY 9TH 2009 (Weather permitting LOL !) I thought that I would bring this to your attention in case you wanted to go - I think it was T_T that took some great photos last year when 45,000 birds were liberated
peterpau Posted April 23, 2009 Report Posted April 23, 2009 Is it a UNC / NEHU lib with similar birdage expected cos yes I do want to go
REDCHEQHEN Posted April 23, 2009 Author Report Posted April 23, 2009 Is it a UNC / NEHU lib with similar birdage expected cos yes I do want to go Its all the NEHU members, the UNC, WDA, Durham Combine and New North Amal in 2007 there were 33,000 birds, and 45,000 in 2008 - so I would expect it to be somewhere in between the 2 (sorry about the late reply)
pigeonman007 Posted April 23, 2009 Report Posted April 23, 2009 Thats only about 40ish miles from me, might well go and have a look (armed with camera). My other half & kids will enjoy a day in Folkestone i'm sure

Not a push bike I hope - you'll have to get up very early for that LOL!! (evil) Libs in the past have been quite early in the morning
Guest LBuddle Posted April 25, 2009 Report Posted April 25, 2009 I will be there to watch the lib as Folkestone is only 9miles from me in Dover and its 10min along the M20. Its always a nice sight to see that many birds at a liberation.

Tony C Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 They normally go over me in droves, I even keep the dog in on that day. ??)
rooster Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 Any clue what the time of liberation is? as early has he can get them up , i would say around 7.30 - 8.30 all being well at the race point , the noise will be out of this world with about 45,000 pigeons going up at all together , what a buzz
