swilcox Posted March 7, 2008 Report Posted March 7, 2008 The following Mealy cock was 1st Ace Pigeon all NFC Old Bird Races 2007 (ie he had the best best velocity over the 4 races, he is bred by C Nelmes, His sire is bred by Keith Nethercott and his dam is a dtr of our Red Lady and Champion Hercules who are both 1st Nat Winners. Im personnelly very pleased as is Raymond and im sure Chris Nelmes ;D
Roland Posted March 7, 2008 Report Posted March 7, 2008 Now they ar my type... winners lol, but they do look great! Remind me a bit of the Stamvater years... Reds and Mealies like that.
Guest Vic Posted March 7, 2008 Report Posted March 7, 2008 Strain? Just a honest pigeon, that has come out of the melting pot. What say you? Stu.
swilcox Posted March 7, 2008 Author Report Posted March 7, 2008 100% right Vic, the father i suppose is Fear Brothers and Channings from South Wales and the Mother Theelen x Jan Aarden from Raymond Moleveld. But he is 100% Chris Nelmes Now!! But there is a lot of Distance Performers in his make up.
Guest Vic Posted March 7, 2008 Report Posted March 7, 2008 Surely any pigeons today, carrying the genes of Channings best pigeons, must be worth their weight in gold. This guy was................ just lets say, phenomonal, racing (in my mind) the hardest route off all. Lerwick to South Wales is the "daddy of em all" Surely. Only Vics Thoughts. ;D
Delboy Posted March 7, 2008 Report Posted March 7, 2008 You can see the similaities to its grandsire,Hercules.Great expression in Hercules face Stuart. What a doo, pure class.
Guest Vic Posted March 7, 2008 Report Posted March 7, 2008 Channings? If my memory serves me right,(not so sharp, these days) Channing, from Newport (I think it was) was getting pigeons on the day or first thing next day, well before some of our so called present day aces were born. I think one of his best was called "Nortern Star" or something near that. What performances? Brilliant
Guest Gareth Rankin Posted March 7, 2008 Report Posted March 7, 2008 Well done To Mr Nelmes on racing a class pigeon, and to Stuart and Raymond you must be extremly pleased by surplying part of the parentage of this fine pigeon. PS I am sure Stuart you will have many more reports over the next few years with pigeons winning containing the Moleveld/Wilcox bloodlines which is a partnership that is only 2 years strong.
Ian McKay Posted March 7, 2008 Report Posted March 7, 2008 Well done Stuart /Raymond You should be extremely pleased
Guest Vic Posted March 7, 2008 Report Posted March 7, 2008 How anyone? who can invest, into the apathy of pigeon racing in general, is beyond belief. But good luck indeed to the "Hangers on" You'll need your fair share, I'm sure.

Guest Vic Posted March 7, 2008 Report Posted March 7, 2008 What do you mean by that Vic? How could anyone not realise that this game of ours has gone from bad to worse in the last three years or so. AND IS FREEFALLING VERY FAST INDEED. but as I said:- Good Luck to you optimists.
swilcox Posted March 9, 2008 Author Report Posted March 9, 2008 What do you suggest Vic, we let it go??
Guest Gareth Rankin Posted March 14, 2008 Report Posted March 14, 2008 New Camera so took a couple of pictures to test it out. Son of Hercules and A Jan Arden Hen bred by the Moleveld/Wilcox ptns.

I hear from dad the Late One (as i call him) is getting himself uptogether, it seems odd somebody getting a squeker in October, i gave Raymond a hard time over it but he said, just wait and you will see!!! Stuart

W.D. Posted March 14, 2008 Report Posted March 14, 2008 Is Chris Nelmes any relation to Norman Nelmes who used to fly the north road Stuart?
swilcox Posted March 16, 2008 Author Report Posted March 16, 2008 The one from Lydney? I dont think he is, chris Nelmes used to fly as Nelmes Brothers
