why are the  returns so bad from worcester was there an attack

from percy on sat just asking the yearlings are struggling

to home do you think they whent down for a drink

3/3 from Leicester 257 miles, all yearlings, at clocks. Not fast enough for club racing, but  3-, 4-, and 500 mile racing starts next week with Newbury, and for 1st time in 2 years I've birds to send to them, so looking forward to it.  :)

11/15 Leicester 300 miles. 2 this morning.  Funny returns at clock checking, some had most/all home others strugling and some no birds.

Bad luck Wings. Had a 6yo returned hawked last weekend, ok but probably finished for this year was going to Alecon/Ypres.

33 from 39 and three of them are hawked.None this morning and on speaking to other members of the club 1/12,1/11,40/55 with some members not timing in.Sare going and hard to swally but thats the doo game and god knows what happened ,as we all knew it would be stiff but the returns are dismall to say the least. :( :( :(

was the same in our club from clermont some none or just 1-2 and  others with nearly all home

Do you mean the 1200 breeding pairs of peregrines in the Cumbrie region

By the way this is official RSPB numbers

Maybe we clashed with the Isle of Man combine or because it was a nice day everybody had there mobile phones on

I still have 11 to come from 23 and yes mostly yearlings You have more of it to come Smaller convoy just as many peregrines

6 out of 16 i dont think i'll be racing west again ::) ::) ::) but i'll see what turns up in the next few days ( if any ) :-/

if all the fancierse

picked a day say  1 september 08 and along there line of flight

released there birds from say twenty mile toss remember! every year at this time! we could have a   accurate count of lossed birds and not to forget every year there after for one day from lands end to jhonO"groats this would be the answer to the problem just regester  how manny sent and how manny if any returned  ;) ;) ;)

got to say if you were racing east route into lanarkshire say from leicester the birds would follow much the same route through cumbria especially with east in the wind. it appears the majority of birds missing are yearlings. i reckon they have gone west maybe over to ireland. by the way i`ve got 6 or 7 injured birds in the loft from east route racing mainly hawk attacks

looks like over 75% returns for the staffs Moorlands SRF from 270 miles on saturday, after the rubbish that happened 2 weeks ago with a stand in convoyer, welcome back and well done again Geoff Silvester.

Unfortunately for the fed he's on duty with the MCCC this week, so they will get the good race.
