Guest IB Posted June 1, 2008 Report Posted June 1, 2008 3/3 from Leicester 257 miles, all yearlings, at clocks. Not fast enough for club racing, but 3-, 4-, and 500 mile racing starts next week with Newbury, and for 1st time in 2 years I've birds to send to them, so looking forward to it.
Bluedoo Posted June 1, 2008 Report Posted June 1, 2008 11/15 Leicester 300 miles. 2 this morning. Funny returns at clock checking, some had most/all home others strugling and some no birds. Bad luck Wings. Had a 6yo returned hawked last weekend, ok but probably finished for this year was going to Alecon/Ypres.

JADE Posted June 1, 2008 Report Posted June 1, 2008 got to say if you were racing east route into lanarkshire say from leicester the birds would follow much the same route through cumbria especially with east in the wind. it appears the majority of birds missing are yearlings. i reckon they have gone west maybe over to ireland. by the way i`ve got 6 or 7 injured birds in the loft from east route racing mainly hawk attacks
allwhites Posted June 2, 2008 Report Posted June 2, 2008 looks like over 75% returns for the staffs Moorlands SRF from 270 miles on saturday, after the rubbish that happened 2 weeks ago with a stand in convoyer, welcome back and well done again Geoff Silvester. Unfortunately for the fed he's on duty with the MCCC this week, so they will get the good race.
Guest Paulo Posted June 2, 2008 Report Posted June 2, 2008 dropped 2 from 9 yearlings sent to WDA maidstone
