So why hide behind a non deplum Give me the facts I sent 17 Race sheet to prove it Got 17 home I can scan the numbers to prove it You mean you got 55% losses But did you train did you go to the first 2 races. Only you know the answers to these questions Like a lot of others you jumped your birds in and got what you deserved

Williedoo Posted August 5, 2008 Report Posted August 5, 2008 Going by the posts on PB and phone calls I am getting about Aberdeen pigeons from Saturdays race entering lofts,I can tell everyone who is interested the majority of these reported pigeons did not reach Dundee.

Roland Posted August 5, 2008 Report Posted August 5, 2008 Not wanting to get involved in the politics at all... But to say that folks lose their birds by jumping them into a race is without any logical foundation.
rembrant2coo Posted August 5, 2008 Report Posted August 5, 2008 Not wanting to get involved in the politics at all... But to say that folks lose their birds by jumping them into a race is without any logical foundation. I quite agree with you on that Roland , well trained pigeons could (and i,ve done it and i,ll be doing it again on saturday , ) will home and race with the rest i never go to the 1st 2 y/b races , and can assure you they are o.k. they come single as y/bs from tossing and training so i will continue to do so as long as i have pigeons
Ian McKay Posted August 5, 2008 Report Posted August 5, 2008 Gentlemen I said Poor trained and untrained birds I know perfectely well you can jump pigeons
Roland Posted August 5, 2008 Report Posted August 5, 2008 Yep, when I have time to race the y/b's I will normally chuck them in at 112 - 140 milers, depending whether North or South. I work Week - end nights mostly, so can't get to clubs Friday or Saturday. - I am knocking it all on the head hopefully, but having said that I am working this week - end. When I have done as such with the y/b's they come real well.
rembrant2coo Posted August 5, 2008 Report Posted August 5, 2008 How far are we looking at these races we are talking about Well rose i,m talking ,otterburn 80+miles for my 1st and 120 for my 2nd race , and i race mine practically right out to wakefield which is 192 to me then they go to the young bird nat which is 266 miles to me abnd i don,t have problems with that , i stop what i like and the rest keep going last year i had 15 at leicester y/b nat and got 13 home and i was well in at that 74 th open sorry
REDCHEQHEN Posted August 5, 2008 Report Posted August 5, 2008 Well rose i,m talking ,otterburn 80+miles for my 1st and 120 for my 2nd race , and i race mine practically right out to wakefield which is 192 to me then they go to the young bird nat which is 266 miles to me abnd i don,t have problems with that , i stop what i like and the rest keep going last year i had 15 at leicester y/b nat and got 13 home and i was well in at that 74 th open sorry I think Rose is referring to the Aberdeen birds Harry
rembrant2coo Posted August 5, 2008 Report Posted August 5, 2008 I think Rose is referring to the Aberdeen birds Harry well in that case for my distance to a friend of mine in kintore itsroughly 60+miles and thornton is just 6 miles from me as the pigeon flys
