Be careful! I believe that with the 250 mg tablets, it is one quarter tablet just the once.

The correct dosage for Flagyl is 125mg per pigeon. First remove the water for 2 hours before administering it then leave it out of the loft for a further 2 hours. Just the one dose is enough.

I, in the past must have been under-dosing Frank. I was planning on  treating mine this weekend, with my normal 62.5 dose but will increase it to 125. (half a tablet)  But I remember that a cock brought its soft food up a few years back, after treatment. So there must be times not to administrate it, don't you agree? Thanks for your comments. Vic.

All your preventive treatments should be done (1) before breeding (2) before racing the old birds (3) before racing the young birds. If any problems do arise outside of those times then of course you have to give a cure.

All the best

And as I understand and happy to be corrected, don't give the same canker treatment because it loses it's effectiveness, if you treat 3 / 4 times a year change the product, use rodnidazol(spelling)or equivalent as an alternative

After reading Frank Taskers correct dosage relpy, my obs will be getting a quarter tablet every four weeks, AFTER what Frank recommends. i.e. a half tablet of 250mg.  So some of you guys, be careful! And DONT OVERDO IT!  8)

Canker will never be immune to FLAGYL.

how can you come up with that then are you a chemist, so is everything ok and never be immune to any treatments ?as far as im concerned you always need  to change your treatments to ALL  ailments.
