Its great to see the birds looking better again, will be nice not to have all the feathers on the floor too.

I know what you mean Ally. At times I thought it had been snowing inside the shed and on the grass in front of the loft just under the louvres. Most of the birds ( apart from a couple of latebreds) are looking great now.

Some of them looking pictures, but there is one or 2 not there yet, so hope to get some pics up over the next week.

 

The feathers on the grass, when its windy, i go over the lawn with the brush, wind carries them away,

Mine don't look great - they seem to be taking turns to moult and its been going on for ages!! :-/

That will be me tomorrow hopefully, working today. Although I have promised to take my kids fishing tomorrow.. I am still training some latebreds and they are coming great. I am training them from all directions and lots of single ups, so hopefully some will make the grade.

all the birds are looking a picture now , spent a bit of time with them this afternoon

cleaned them all out first time in about 4 weeks just left them alone to get on with the moult

i can,t beleave how they change in a few weeks now they got there new coats on .

"other brands of washing powder are available" .... some almost thru ,some looking a bit sorry for them selves ,dont necesarily like the moult , will be happier when its over . try not to disturb them too mutch not cleaned out every day . andy.
