Open to all SHU lofts and members flying 175 miles and over from Bubwith. (332)

Wednesday 30th August 

Marking Tuesday 29th August at Dumbarton Pigeon Club 5pm to 7pm and Newmains Pigeon Club 6pm to 8pm. 

Birdage £5 per pigeon. Maximum of 5 entries per loft. 

Closing date for entries and payment. Friday August 25th. 

Entrants can contact me with - 

No of entries, SHU loft no and measurement as well as preferred timing system and marking station. 

There will be Open pools as well as guaranteed prizes for a minimum of the first 10 places. If the race is well supported we will look in to possible section prizes.

Went from lofts over 180 to lofts over 175.. 

was plenty of interest from lofts flying 177/178/179 miles, so the boundary changed to accommodate these guys 

25 lofts entered already.. well over £1000 in the prize fund

Dumbarton YB Open 

Just back from Newmains.. looks like 145 doos on board and approx £1k of pools on top of the prize money.. will double check and count everything again.. 

Huge thanks to Newmains club for letting us have a station there.  John Quinn , Andrew Frame and Ian Rankin and all the other helpers.. the marking seemed to go very smoothly. 

Thanks to Freddy Robertson for use of his wagon and Robert the driver for taking them.. 

Also thanks to Barclay McCrindle who will be controlling the race for us..

Best of luck everyone... some top lofts entered and the birds looked in cracking condition, unfortunately only 6 birds from Ayrshire the disaster we had on Saturday put paid to more entries. Well done to all involved
