grizzle09 Posted July 23, 2023 Author Report Posted July 23, 2023 Well, That's our First Hotspot over and done with and I would just like to thank everyone for their kind words and encouragement over the weekend it's refreshing to hear from both participants and fanciers following our progress especially in our first year and that make it all worth while, A little disappointed that we didn't get more home on the day but there's always time today, the feeding program this week was changed so if mistakes were made they would've had more than enough fuel in the tank to keep them going! The route these birds have to fly weekly has to be considered the toughest in the uk! the terrain alone makes it very easy for the birds to make mistakes so we have to keep that in mind but our whole reason for being is to find truely tough pigeons that will rise to any challenge! The birds that did return were shining and in great condition, the head wind definitely tightened them up and they've returned in the same condition as they were sent in so that's all I can ask for at this stage!
