We were amongst others the night he timed in from Nantes 623 miles on the night, i think he finished up 6th open, long time ago, cant mind the year, maybe someone else will shed some light.

Not sure if it was 82 or 83. Without checking, did Jim Sanderson not win the race. Remembering timing in the back of 10 at night and was quick dark that night.
