Credit where due, a fantastic pigeon that. A credit to the pigeons, the sport, and owner, and the scots eh!

And to think we molley-Coddle (the youngster especially) spouting 200 miles is too far etc.

All good pigeons, regardless what distance the owner prefers, have all come down from distance and hard day birds.

Pick of 1000x doo from back in the golden era

 

This pigeon was on display at the very first show I attended - The Edinburgh International Charity Show next to Waverley Station in 1968. If my memory is correct he was quite a big pigeon.
