  1. We experienced this a few years ago with a single reared youngster. The cause was the fact that the parents had very little in the way of a nest contstructed in the bowl hence the youngster was struggling to stand on the slippery surface of the clay bowl. Nowdays it is nestfelts without fail Chris

  3. Hi Dermot These guys have caught my eye for a while, they are top class. However the wheels are in motion.... In terms of who has their best it has to be Herbots from Belgium , they own Barcelona King, check out www.herbots.com Chris

  6. John The jury is still out on that one even though one of our clubs has just been awarded a grant for it..... Roundo Prelimininary discussions have took place with the Tauris rep and the fiqures he was quoting for the spec to match Unikon was certainly far higher than that quoted in the recent press advertisment. There is a guy I know whom is a member of a club which has has opted for the Tauris system, will see what his feedback is Chris
  7. Not another member of the Brig mafia : Welcome on board John ;D ;D ;D
  8. Yeah , it is a cracker mate , JP is a 24 karat champion.....
  9. Thanks for the replies. If I were to pick one it would be Unikon, from what I can gather the Tauris system is basic and in order to maintain it to the same spec it becomes more expensive. Cheers Chris

  19. The thing is though Fifer, is there anyone that really knows what is going on, there is many that think they do. No point in worrying about something we cannot control. Bruno - could you clarify what you mean about the Cumbrian Fed Cheers Chris
  20. Hi Stu Good to hear from ya. Know what you mean about the SVR's , our small but successful team are also a strong bold family which originated from the originals in the 80's. Nowadays the SVR's that many sell seem a lot different.... Cheers Chris

  24. No worries Tomo. I have no intentions at all whatsoever of visiting LPW or purchasing from them Chris
  25. When I first entered our great sport in the late eighties , LPW and the Busschaerts were the bees knees , it is the Busshaert strain from then that made them what they were. They have since gone on to be in my opinion a spent force mass producing thousands of pigeons every year from scores of families, OK , they still claim to breed x amount of superstars but how many are bred each year........ thousands upon thousands... The smaller and more select breeding studs are far superior in terms of churning out winners on a much higher success rate. Of all the current families they now house, only the Jan Aardens catch my eye
