  7. look at the wind for the 1st inland national the last 4 or 5 years I think you will find that its been mostly north east or south east winds how many times have we heard it on here that the birds have been blown over to Ireland channel races over 500 miles are still affected by the wind direction but not quite as bad as shorter races
  8. the calibre of doos in the west is no different than the north ,south or east the west bennifits from any east in the wind and the east bennifits from west in the wind
  9. 20,11 was the last valid bid lot 14 closed at 20.16 and lot 5 closed at 20.09

  11. put your line up to fraserburgh, and you are nowhere near land I would guess the birds cross into the south of England then head up the country the furthest north lofts get slaughtered with distance I think we only get about 20 miles from Dundee and 50 odd from Edinburgh when in reality were prob losing around 40 or 50 when they come up the coast
  12. why is that Derek would your birds not fly up the west and not dogleg from the east
  13. Belgian racepoints are good for the south and west sections but the east and especially the north east lofts would be measured flying over water nearly all the way the only fair route is inline with the middle of England into france this way the birds have the choice of flying up the west, centre or east routes

  23. I was speaking to a judge at one of the shows he said if he handled a bird that had 1 or 2 lice he would not disqualify it as it could of come from a bird in the next pen and become active with the heat in the hall and moved across the table obviously a lot of lice and the birds disqualified ps- the odd louse may have come off the judges own clothing or someone who has handled the bird earlier

  25. I would think that the national men/women in the west will still send to the nationals its far more prestigious than any amal, combine, joint convoying, etc etc they will prob send to both, and your national birdage might even increase as your birds will be used to coming up the west which should increase your chances of open positions
