  6. was going on the race point posted john (malborough)which is in Devon your now saying marlborough which is just west of newbury which would make more sense as to dates i posted the 4th of june was just mentioning that it could be a struggle to get birds fit for 480 ish miles if starting racing in late april as the weathers not too good then with the usual north east winds etc and this was baised on the posted racepoint dave
  7. 482 miles by the 4th of june thats a big ask with the usual weather in april another 100 mile onto bovingdons distance, seems a bit extreme especially with the eastbourne race about 30 miles shorter
  8. just googled malborough seems its in devon if ive got the spelling correct anyone know how far that would be to aberdeen will have to start the birds at the begining of april instead of the last weekend in april to get some miles under thier belts
  9. possibly with the cold weather weve had this year members have been giving thier birds a bit extra feed and the hens are a bit fatter than normal at this time of year thus causing more problems than usual jmo

    Silly Question

ive got sliding doors with sputniks fitted onto them for ets ive got a pad fitted to a false floor inside the trap with bobs at the back set up so the bird crosses the pad before dropping into the section through to bobs
  24. i know what your saying,i see the west boys struggle to get aswell im just saying theres sometimes a small window to get north birds and birds usually slow the further they go but there are always exceptions to the rule usually wind assisted as i said earlier in the thread inland national birds have been liberated mid morning i think it was 10.30 or 11.00 not 100% sure making that a 2 day race for most of us
  25. 382 to bovingdon and 456 i think to eastbourne add 40 to each for robbie in fraserburgh
