  1. Yes there mine , I have around 80 All Whites. My Foundation birds have raced out to 557 miles and were day birds. they won deplomas also. There are a few good whites left ;D
  2. They should be trained to roll on command. Some of the flyers here use drums and cymbals to get them to roll all together. after you watch them for a while you know when they are forming up for the roll,so when they start to form you start a drum roll and when you stop and hit the cymbals they will all roll. Some just use a whistle.
  3. I hear tell of several flyer who have got billed for not paying the toll when there birds used the major roadways. they have photos of them flying right passed the toll booths. :
  4. Yes This goes along with the direstion of the eggs in the nest which should be sitting on a road map. There also should be photos stapled on the walls of the loft of exits along the Motorway so the birds learn which one to get off and keep coming home. I'm sure WMU will be working with the studies from over there. The Book will be written in England and sent here for transulation

  10. Not sure ,unless its this funny clear liquid I found dripping out of a copper coil in the woods. It does seem to make ya feel warm and fuzzy all over. I hope this thread has brought a bit of sunshine to everyone today. I will let everyone know when they can buy the book when it comes out. 8)
  11. Tammy, what ever you do don't let them stand on end. I won't even go in to that at this time, but if you do make the small pointed end look up for saftey ;D
  12. They seem to change color more around Easter than any other time of the year.
  13. The guy working on the studies at WMU flys with us and is also A Vet. He has his own office off campus that specializes in Avian sub types. Dr Ivan Gottchua has over 30 years as a Vet. He can look at a bird and tell you if it is ready or should you let it rest another week. He has checked my dropping several time for free. I will take in some again in a month or so and he might even want some bloodwork done to check for sugar.
  14. We have people here at a big University who have been doing studies with grants from the Government for over 14 years . There findings will be published in a book soon from what I understand. One of the people working on the Project that flies with us and has passed some of the finding to club members. We have one flyer who has all hen or all cocks each round,he just can't figure which way to turn thrn so the always come out what he wants. They also have some amazing writing on the reading of the hatched eggs shells as to weather the bird wil be a sprinter or distance bird.
  15. It is easy to try, take and put them both the same way and most likely the Obs will turn them because they know to keep the looking different, but you will find yearlings that don't know yet and you will end up with 2 hens or 2 cocks in the same nest. It also matter which way they look in relationship to which way the will be raced from. We here race from the West so we have the eggs laying north and south to get the best results from both eggs. If you want them to home better have the larger rounded end in the direction they will be coming from and the pointed end in the direction of the line of flight.
  16. Cup a flashlight in one hand and lay egg on lens, it should let the vains show and you don't have as much of a problem rolling the egg and breaking the yoke away from the shell. Try and lay them back in the nest with the pointed end of the eggs each in opposite direction so one stays male and the other female.
  17. missed it again, have to get on sooner
  18. The smaller round Spanish peanut is best I think, and in the raw form not salted or roasted

The result sheet you show was more than 15 sec to the 2nd place loft,it was almost 2min and the winner had to fly 12 miles more and did get several on the drop which looks like the pad may have been on the boards not in the loft, it had to of been a goodrace with most of the birds clocked within 30 min and there was a 20pmh wind they must have been blown around the short end that day
