    Plastic Grills

1x1 wire mess works as good if not better, the dropping fall thru it better. they can be bent on the sides so they are 1 1/2 high and paper can be placed under them easy
  4. You figure it all wrong, the average speed award is for the average speed from the total of the Speed raced that day added to the other days and divided by the number of races not distance and time on the wing sum average. Smith had a total of 2856.49 for 4 races or 714.1225 YPM Jones had a total of 2852.56 for 4 races or 713.14 YPM
  5. I hope its not a long race as the YPM will be very low at 3 MPH
  6. You have no Idea what it takes to hold a good 1 loft race or you would never have made those statements. You shouldn't put All Handlers in the same class as you did. It costs me several hundred dollars each year to host the races I have and just enjoy flying others birds and keeping them informed as to how there bird under the same conditions compete againt other stock. I just couldn't let this one slide by, I don't wat to start a battle ,but
  7. If you win every week you can't loose Avg speed
  8. Are you wanting to race or just fly birds?
  9. I only use safflower to carbo load YBs for 200 and 300 mile races and shelled corn for OBs after 300 miles to 600
  10. PMV.POX at 45 days old
  11. 30 to 35 birds would do well in that area with the avairy. Have you tried to find a club in your area?
  12. do you have more than one trap hole for 2 lofts most traps here have 4 to 6 holes for each loft
  13. I think its great. no running and falling. Old bones heal slow. I try and fly from just one loft with or without ets
  14. Get a fast boat and do it at night :-)
  15. Do you have a loft
  16. We had one more 360 mile race the birds performed very well again. The results are not in yet. I have started to send out some of the birds that made the whole season to The AU Help a Beginner Program that Linda is in charge of. I have 11 more left and look to see them all gone very soon. Here are the last 11 that will be given to new Flyers. here is a site that shows what they can pick from :-) http://hometown.aol.com/chatrace2001/HelpaBegginer.html
  17. E_CLOCK 8)
  18. Who ever has it,they have to spend some time on updates to make it a good race. Not as much work as you think unless you never kept 100 birds. The feed and entry and shipping is what costs.. If I can do it I'm sure someone there could, lol Just need an empty loft to start. and make the rule that all entries get there with in 30 days of 1st to last bird.
  19. They make a Ply with one side smooth hard finish, It is 3/4 off and inch thick and costs like the dickins, but it lasts like iron. I have my waters up on a platform to keep the spillage from attacking the floor
  20. We caan have 2 in one after the 1st bird.
  21. Thanks all, I have to new site up for the 2007 race as some have shown intrest in getting in as the PB syndicate did. You can email me at Chatrace2001@aol.com or go look at the New 2007 Info page http://hometown.aol.com/chatrace2001/Extrapage.html#
  22. I can still do my lab work with this But I can't do Cat Scans as he ran away
  23. The pads have to be 2/3 inside the loft entrance . The club has the right to seal them and check them at any time. It still requires the birds to enter the loft to be clocked if the rules are followed. Fault can be found with any clocking system, even the old wooden windups can be opened and times reset without breaking the seal. I few well cut dovetail joints in the side can let you take the whole side apart, seen it done and the average person would never see the joints.
  24. So far you can't clone a chip as a new code # is assigned to it for each race when scaned. and on my EXPRESS it holds a small 9V battery that lets me scan birds right on the face of the clock or you can get an adpter and have it run off a 12V car battery set up in the loft. The small one in the clock will work fine for 3 days
  25. We use Benzing and like all there clocks, no problems and good service on troubleshooting here . I use the cheaper EXPRESS and can have 8 races going and holds for 500 birds in data base
