  1. Pump them with Wet Pellets
  2. Several flyer here use it in the water as it was a topic by a couple well known bird Vets that it helps keep the birds from spreading sickness, ! teaspoon per gallon of water and in hor summer months 1 1/2 teaspoons can be added as it evaporates while sitting, just like clorine in a swimming pool
  3. Starting at 10am some days till 10pm I can be checking in ,mostly around 3pm till 8pm my time which is 4 hrs behind you as the clocks have changed already. its 10:15 am now and I will check the room ,Baglady and stay till 10:30. and then be back later. have a Grand Day
  4. try that Baglady site above, ya just need to let JAVA load and enter screenname. I'll be there in 5 min for about 15 min
  5. that isn't this site it is bagladys where most go http://www.bagladyloft.com/Chatroom.htm
  6. They are made in Germany so you should be able to get them cheaper than we do as the markup may be less. Here is our price from the only outlet in the States http://www.siegelpigeons.com/catalog-timers-M-1.html
  7. When i race old birds I fly Natural and let them raise 1 YB, I try and set them up so the Hen gets a 10day egg to return home to fron a 300 or 400 mile race and the cock bird comes better on a 10 day old baby for his 400 or 500
  8. Go for it, you can set it up and when they see how nice it is ,maybe more will invest.
  9. Started out with sunny sky and now clouding over for maybe some rain by noon. At least it warmed up to almost 50 degrees F at 9:46 am
  10. Urfamycin
  11. try this site for the Benzing programs. maybe it will transulate http://www.benzing.ro/instructiuni.htm
  12. the clocking pads are to be 2/3 inside the loft, some have them 100% inside the bob line, they can be sealed in place for the season. We use a tunnel type stall for them to enter the loft and the pads are back in the tunnel

    ets chip rings

you have to have the snapon chip ring so you can put it on the birds as they get older and not loose them before the birds are returning to the loft. the new imbeded chips in the life ring would be nice, but if the chip goes bad you will still need the snapon band so the birds can still race.As far as using both types of clocks ,we here have to use the rubbers yet for some Specials who are not set up to take ETS clocks. Sometimes we take our club unit to them so we canuse the ETS .

here are several rings that will be reasigned from birds I gave away and saved the chip ring

    ets chip rings

you can redo the bands if you have a club unit. When you do try it will tell you in most cases who the band was assined to and then ask if you want to resign it. once you do it can be reused again without the other owner knowing. A lot of our flyers here are painting there own design on there chips so it is harder to not nitice someone has cleaned them up.

    ets chip rings

The ring can be reasigned anytime, but you can't make a new one to clock a bird unless it has been entered into the club unit an assigned it own personal code, the code is refixed each time it is entered in a race so it can't be cloned by someone with a club unit.
  17. My next question on this is just how many times does the average flyer get 10 or 12 birds on a drop when releases with over 2000 birds from 60 plus lofts. If you do you should get all the places 8)
  18. the pine sap keeps the bugs away as it is a turpentine product. the long needles from the White Pine are the best and fall every year like leaves and are dry .
  19. We used to have a clocking limit that only let you win up to 5 places. that let more people on the sheet as you say. I would rather know if my birds were 6th or 66th. If you want to limit the entry payout is fine, but not the birds for flying well and being trained and in great condition.
  20. We have people in our club and combine that still use the old wooden windup Benzings and win against those of us with ETS. Now how can that be fair, they should have to not water there birds so they will have to stop for water and give me a chance 8)
  21. here is one I got in, it was really lite and passed.

here is a site wityh some Tips on using the Unikon. I 'll look for sizes as I use Benzing and they have several pads all not the same. http://www.cbspigeon.com/supplies/unikon/tips.html
  24. They will be very heavy, the Aluminum ones are even heavy when ya load them
  25. I wouild leave them on 20 hours of light a day have it go off 4 hours before natural sunrise. It is best if they see natural sunrise and then the lights go back on for 20 hours, natural light isn't enough incase it is overcast use the lights. Leave them on 20 hours till the body molt is finished or 5 weeks before the 1st race
