Yes I race mine and the slow ones are on my wedding team. Some have won awards at the 550 mile station,and have made that flight on the day more than once.
That what the ridge vent is also the windows are able to open fronm the top down. I did add a inter door so I could get in with out the birds flying out over my head.when you do build one make your plans and then double it :-)
I had one brought in when I first started, As you can see I added an aveiry/landing board and lovers along the front and vent ridge in the roof. It was a quick fix till I could build one with sections and other bells and whistles :-)
They go out the other side of the baskets that are shown. They slide into a trailer. all the fronts open at the same time. Have to look and see if I have a Photo
I have a Hauler that fits in my pickup. It has 6 sections and can put 50 birds in each. I haul birds for other flyers and that helps with the fuel costs. Here is my partner getting ready to release some last summer.
I used to cut and pull 9th and 10th flights,but if you have early birds,like Jan they will have dropped them before the season starts. with a light on for 26 to 18 hrs till june the whole wing and body will be done by Aug.
