  8. I think they've lost track of what pigeon racing is all about, jmo.
  9. What we need is not pigeon politicians, we need guys orgirls so as not to be sexist who are not interested in making a name for themselves but doing what is good for the sport, let's get away from the petty politics and absolute rubbish that comes out of some people's mouths, we are in the sport because we enjoy our birds, it should be nothing more or nothing less, forget about egos and get back to basics....racing the doos that we can enjoy without fear of someone jumping on someone else's back just because they are from a different region or whatever, some folks are making it all to complicated and political for what ? Let's race the birds and enjoy them the best we can.

why not just give them matrix, the love it and i've never heard tell of anybody saying their birds don't love it.
  12. For what it's worth with my inexpierience i believe you should be sending pigeons to races full stop.how else are you going to find out what you've got ? wait till next year and the same thing happen again, you can't keep a loft full of pigeons that have'nt been tested, or maybe you can if you have loads of room and deep pockets. you would'nt scratch a greyhound from a race because it was raining and it was going to get sand in it's face would you ? yu have to find out what you've got , if i lose a few tomorrow 9hopefully not) then they were'nt up to the job, simple as that, we can all send them to the easy races and pat ourselves on the back when they come home but what it that showing us ? let's be honest, without sacrificing them for the sake of it which is out and out cruelty in my opinion a hard race will do them no harm and more than likely stand them in good stead for the next time...maybe i'm wrong but i don't want a loft full of pigeons that will only home when the weather suits them, if they have the urge and will to get back to the loft through a bit of a hard race them they are the ones i'd be wanting to be feeding over the winter.
  13. If we don't get a race tomorrow i very much doubt we'll get one sunday, hope i'm wrong but it seems everyone is thinking much the same, if possible get them up early and at least give us a chance of a race.
  14. Sent the lot, 20 in all hopefully have 20 to feed tomorrow night all being well.
  15. Double OUCH , that's below the belt Speck...probably not the first time you got under a new starts belt though ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Only a joke tracey
  16. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D HumbleKeep your opinions to yourself speck ;D
  17. I would have thought so too, you could double the number of birds and still have them in a healthy enviroment , ventilation etc allowing.
  18. I'm not saying that ME, what i am saying is that sometimes they can be over cautious, nobody want's to lose birds just for the sake of it, but i'm sure you'll agree, or maybe not, the contollers are over cautious, pigeons are not meant to be wrapped in cotton wool, ...an example the pentland fed, which incidentally has many top national fliers quite a few who are members on this board have a race the week before christmas, barring freak weather the race goes ahaed with the top fliers sending their best birds, if they are good enough and fit enough they will make it home, end of story , if you want birds to stand and look at when the weather is not to your liking buy budgies.
  19. It's like the dark ages i think sometimes vic, would'nt be so bad but at times there is no need for it .
  20. Looks bad for us in the lothians as well Wings, probably end up not sending.
  21. Don't have a problem as such but prevention is better than the cure as they say, also like a days rabbitting so they will get plenty work.
  22. try it sapper ,you'll see what i mean
  23. Don't eat yellow snow gangster , there's a tip for you mate ! ;D
  24. I'll tell you what though it's amazing what a win can do for your confidence no matter how big or small your club is, to get 2nd fed the other week was beyond my highest expectations at this stage of owning racing pigeons and gave me a huge lift as you'll imagine, good thing also is my three winners have all been different birds so my small team are all well within themselves or so it appears. ;D
  25. Darryn, Nae mates john ;D
