Valiant do you know a guy called Gavin crawford from Edinburgh that has the same dogs as yourself i think, or similar lines .

A lot of people don't like the look of them but they are good dogs jmo.

Get yourself an english bull dovescot, mine is 11 months old now and would,nt go back to having another breed, had staffs for years , they are great dogs but having owned both i like the english bulls a bit more.

Of course pigeons need grit, don't know who advised you otherwise timbarra, but it was the wrong advice.

i'm new to the sport alf, but personally i would'nt take on the job as you are on a hiding to nothing , no matter how hard you try too cover all the weather angles, it has to be a thankless job but as they say some one has to do it, not for me though.
