  1. BIGDA... if you are as wise and good as you make out why arent you on the committee then???
  2. where do the other 2500 birds go at the inland races?
  3. very much doubt they have held them over for financial gain... if anything a 2 day holdover is costing the club money!, but the 'big picture' has got to be looked at here for the forthcomng channel races which i would expect a lot of candidtates are sitting at eastbourne right now!
  4. thanks for the interest in these young birds and all the PM's... they have all been taken
  5. forgot to mention amongst these young birds are two direct from our 82nd Open SNFC Eastbourne 2008 (this cock was also 13th Fed Falaise 2009) and our 145th Open Eastbourne 2009 there are three g.children of Gilmour Bros 1st Open Falaise, one g.dtr Kardale Style x Kardale Regatta, 3 g.children Andy Miller 2nd open Reims, g.son Lowik Bros 'Dax Doffer'
  6. i have seven youngsters ready now free to any novice or new starter. unfortunately they are all unrung as it wasnt my intentions to keep them, but they are absolutely stunning youngsters and first class reared. they are from our distance stock which originate from lofts the such as DALE NEWCOMBE; RITCHIE & WHYTE; GILMOUR BROS; LOWIK BROS; ANDY 'Denis The Menace' MILLER; etc we endeavour to purchase from the best eg, direct from 1st, 2nd Open SNFC etc, direct from Gold Award Winners, pigeons that have SNFC diplomas 600 plus miles, or the main breeders. it was our loft that bred a pigeon for Kevin Murphy now named 'Rocket' (Ritchie & Whyte x Lowik Bros) who as a yearling in 2009 won FOUR SNFC Open diplomas from Newbury, Eastbourne, Ypres & Falaise! they are ready now, come and collect or a courier can be arranged... i will pay carraige costs for any fancier under the age of 18 years.
  7. ye, in Section G
  8. maybe so, but if its good today then they'll go... ye might be tough one then that doo racing for ya at times, i do feel for the northerly guys as it reduces there chance of any day pigeons, but controllers are controlloing the entire convoy not just 200 pigeons form Section G... good luck to all when they do eventually go up!
  9. once again i'm sure tye race controllers will make the correct decision for the pigeons and not the necessarily the fanciers, but got a feeling we'll get a lib arond 9am???
  10. it was an 8.15am lib last year...
  11. aye any time...
  12. yip... more sh*te sent these days than quality, then the race controller gets the blame for lossing the sh*te!

    how are the returns though?
  14. email me: doos@whdonachie.com
  15. just speaking about our race in our area, we got full returns... not my fault your birds not good enough!!! the north road pigeons today are notching up speeds of almost 70mph, this indicates the strength of the northerly wind our pigeons would have faced... it would have been a disaster! besides if fanciers listen to the lib line again one of the concerns regarding the wind was if the birds didnt face it then they could have headed across the channel. i'm a happy man that they held, and respect the controllers decision today and put the pigeons first before anything else... I applaud these officials, great job so far.
  16. SNFC Newbury was a Monday lib last year and turned out a good race with good returns, SNRPC lib at Wanstead Flats on the Friday and got slaughtered!!!

  24. hi m8, they are a lovely pair... seem to be well bred but are unrung!
  25. one pair of short faced tipplers that recently wandered my way, have been unable to trace there rightful owner so now offer them to a 'gade hame'. Clocky will post a photo soon, they are a lovely pair, def from same loft, they have paired up in my garden shed and are sitting eggs, will settle no probs and are very tame.
