  1. Dont tell me your a sprinter Ben thiers enough of them in Kernow a lot have lost thier nerve and will not go over the ditch. Dont follow them look at Dick,Ross and the Angwins they are far better.
  2. Ben i live in the Cotswolds now but used to fly north road out of Cornwall i know Dick Antony well and a few others Im in my mid 40s i fly just hard old English pigeons. The D @ C is far better than the combine it will give you proper racing and test your birds . Take it steady and good luck you will be ok in Looe.
  3. Wrong i work 12hr shifts on break.
  4. Good luck Ben are you going with the D and C continetal ? it will be better than the cornish combine.
  5. Ben come its spelt MINE and BEFORE gosh my old teacher in St Just would have skinned me for spelling like that. You youngsters check your spelling it makes what you write look poor.
  6. May i suggest that you watch the wind and the weather alot of people blow thier yearlings sending too early they meet a cold wind or are simply not ready do not be in a rush. Pick your days for training wind, weather and cloud take them 20miles give them 30 mins to settle then try 3s 15mins apart it will make them think and also make it better if struck by raptors smaller groups broken up. I do not know if your natural like ourselves but send them on 10/14 days sitting do not send yearlings chasing do not be in a rush . Its easy to ruin birds by rushing in to early look at what Frank Tasker wrote on this site . Remember paticince is a virtue and if you want to see what will loses your more birds than any hawk look in a mirror . Dont be in a rush good luck.
  7. Beanz makes a very good and valid point i am an rpra but also NWHU member living in gloucestershire the rpra is a rip off with regional councillors more interested in power and points scoring than people and pigeons . Its time we tried and took the rpra back.
  8. We race natural with work nothing else would suit i also am a laid back sort and i like my pigeons round me. I also own the pigeons they do not own me.
  9. Sorry if your in Blackpool marking for the BICC will be in Manchester.
  10. The BICC a good and fair programme on the day entries £1.75p shorter races and £8 for the internationals no closing dates no post and you can have your clock read at your own club.
  11. Why notjust mix your own the continental mixes are frankly an overpriced indulgence its a lot cheaper and more practical you can adjust the carbohydrates and protiens and seeds as required. Just because it has a fancy continental name its no better .
  12. Wilts fed 14/04 Kingsdown too early as Micheal Lycett.
  13. Alan thier are a few i will try and get you details asap.
  14. Good advice from messrs Tasker,Lycett and Mrs Wills i only paired the stock 2 days ago and the racers will have to wait a couple of weeks . Leave them alone patiences is a virtue or you will wreck your season3 to 4 weeks yet.

    Should I?...

Ben your old enough to make your own mind up ! would you put your hand in the fire if they told you. Do yourself a favour and go to Devon and Cornwall continental club sale and get some good distance birds.
  16. I breed them now and then but Des Coulter certainly does and they are good ones give him a ring.
  17. I do the same as Darren i have just paired the stock birds today the racers about 10th April but my youngsters get trained south for the 1st 3 tosses then any direction i happen to be going N,S,E or W in batches of 3 to 5 .Then after about 8 or 10 tosses i train with Dave Posey they go to Geoff Byles in Hayes who puts them up in small mixed batches to make them think . We them give them a odd race and let them develop.
