  1. I still think that selling £360 and not making from the sale of birds, even that amount is no where near defining a fancier as a professional :-/
  2. Is there not tradesmen or handymen that could go along and improve the conditions that the birds are kept in :-/
  3. Good one for you Geordie, wish I had never shown you how to post pics ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  4. Just been up feeding the birds with it
  5. There will be a lid on one side of the apex roof
  6. Cheers, they will hold quite a bit of seed etc and the birds will not create any mess from scattering for their favourite seeds Anyone got good pics of hopper feeders
  7. The Vanilla Pudding Robbery Excerpted from an article which appeared in The Dublin Times about a bank robbery on March 2. Once inside the bank shortly after midnight, their efforts at disabling the security system got underway immediately. The robbers, who expected to find one or two large safes filled with cash & valuables, were surprised to see hundreds of smaller safes throughout the bank. The robbers cracked the first safe's combination, and inside they found only a small bowl of vanilla pudding. As recorded on the bank's audio tape system, one robber said, 'At least we'll have a bit to eat.' The robbers opened up a second safe, and it also contained nothing but vanilla pudding. The process continued until all safes were opened. They did not find one pound sterling, a diamond, or an ounce of gold. Instead, all the safes contained covered bowls of pudding. Disappointed, the robbers made a quiet exit, each leaving with nothing more than a queasy, uncomfortably full stomach. The newspaper headline> read : 'IRELAND 'S LARGEST SPERM BANK ROBBED EARLY THIS MORNING' The old ones are the best ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  8. This is what you can do with your spare or scrap laminate, this was the spare boards from Billy's, they can be used for feed. grit or minerals
  9. Do you cover Scotland as well :-/
  10. £300 hardly labeling one as a professional, that's roughly £6 a week, your needing to see Richard about upping your allowance :D ;D ;D ;D Still a prfessional still only pays £20 for selling £300 worth of birds :-/ :-/ :-/
  11. There is a Secret Squirrel and a Mad Cow-Girl in the party "Vote for insanity - you know it makes sense" - it's the unmistakeable clarion call of the Monster Raving Loony Party. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  12. So private sellers are going to pay £30 for £300 worth of birds and professional sellers are going to pay £20 for £300 pounds worth of birds :-/

  17. Great response, but Phil is busy and hopefully soon he will get the website up and running :-/
  18. Apex is great as long as you fit vented ridge caps, pent is great as long as you get a good overhang and roll mesh into the ridge plates for ventilation, also in England they do not use sterling board or sarking below the roof covering just a fibre membrane :-/
  19. 64 for, 4 maybe's an still two no's We need to get the website up and running Phil :-/
  20. Tiles and slate are the best but you need a good pitch on the roof or they become damp and crack with the frost in time
  21. If you only use bearers they have to be less than 18" / 450mm apart, if done right they are great, very low maintenance and stand up to loads of conditions. Chrissy has them on her loft roof
  22. Onduline is a tough flexible, but lightweight roofing/cladding sheet manufactured from bitumen saturated organic fibres. They needs loads of support, best thing to do is put sterling board or similar under them to supprt them
  23. I hope poor Tammy is not reading this, he will be drooling ;D ;D ;D
