My only issue on this matter is why Blaz did not put this matter to rest himself, I for one would have asked for a receipt when handing over all that money and then posted it on the site for all to see instead of letting simmer since the end of February Best thing about it Blaz has been cleared and we should all thank him for the work he did raising money for a great cause and a valuable lesson learned for future sales that are endorsed by forums JMO

I just got this email from Dan Walker HFH co-ordinator for Edinburgh and Lothian

It doesn't help that Blaz has decided to stay off the site and not answer any question that he alone could answer. He could have posted the info I received and put the matter to rest ages ago

Fifer has spoken to the area co-ordinator for Edinburgh and the Lothians and he thought rather than just take take his or any site officials word for it he asked me to phone him as well I have emailed the co-ordinator through the Help for Heroes site and I have spoken to him on the phone as well and he confirms that cheques made out to HFH were sent to him by Blaz(Garry Cairns) I have asked him to confirm this in an email an attach any receipts if possible I will copy and paste the reply as soon as I can

True but sadly it will never happen as RSPB will protect their income and investments before they protect an unpopular bird, especially the eagle owl that will prey on their much loved peregrines and sparrow hawks and portray them as capable of killing pet dogs and attacking humans

Point taken, I have flown a few types of hawks in the past and know that some do break the mould but 99.9% of they time they behave the same way especially in the wild, captive birds are trained as near as possible to the way they hunt in the wild either by the glove or by the lure. Get yer video out the next time and share it with all us sceptics

Interesting video, it looks like a young male who started the attack on the ground then dragged it into a small pond. I wish they had kept it running to see if he had the power to lift it ot the pond after he purposely drowned it or dragged it by mistake into the pond. One thing for sure predators such as hawks do not like their prey to make to much noise as it attracts other predators and I have seen young hawks get their talons in so deep they cannot let go. Sparrow hawks are not built to hover which would make me doubt it was them JMO
