  1. Well thats the End of 2008 season .How did you fair and how many are you left for racing in 2009.We ended up with 14 pairs of old birds and 60 youngsters and that goes down to the Race Controlling Team of the Lanarkshire Fed. Also a big thank you to the secretaries and the race marking teams at all levels and to my Auld Partner George for his assistance this year. The North East winds for the first part of the season took their Toll but what you were left with was pigeons that could at least face the 2nd half of the season and if they were bred right and more importantly ( Healthy ) you were half roads there. Our only disappointment was the Late Liberation in the S.N.F.C from Leicester which is so unfair flying into the West Section and the youngsters trying to beat the hours of darkness.Good luck on the oncoming season which starts now. Take Care Budgie

  14. Allan i hope you are right and as you have quoted we have had 5 1st Class races lets not do anything drastic at the last hurdle. But what a jump for the Young Bird National next week.
  15. Alex If they are heading back North can you be more precise as you know the Pentland Fed are sitting at Towlaw and with no word till 12.30pm its either one of the other race points Otterburn or the Dreaded Kelso which will be a 15.45 liberation . ;)(and we have no chance of getting a pint in the Doo Club the day. ;)With the Horse Racing on at Ripon that may the reason for moving ;)
  16. No word on the Lanarkshire Fed until 11.00am.Going by the the forecasts there will be some sunny spells but not many.If we dont get a race today they would be as well bringing them back as we have no chance tommorow with long spells of rain and the dreaded Thunder. :(
