    Hawk Attact

I agree mate, it's out of control. As for keeping them in, it's hard doing that when they need to learn. I've always had them out around this time of year and not once had a problem, Just means in the future i'll have to be keeping a closer eye on them, Atb Andy

    Hawk Attact

Yesterday afternoon, I was sat with the young birds out And i like to keep a few old hens with them just to help them mature a bit, while sat with them out i walked to close the gate and a few of the old hens went up, I ran too see what the fuss was about and a hawk had got one of my old hens and if i didn't go up she'd have been dead. just can't believe it went for a hen rather than a young bird. it was only a few feet away from me!
  15. Nice looking bird mate
  16. Nice birds, Liking the whites
  17. an update to this, it's now snowing in sheffield and it's freezing!!
  18. Damp here in sheffield, like rain and snow mixed :/
  19. Brilliant
  20. The suns out in Sheffield, Still cold mind!!
  21. true, Just if you have natural birds they do tend to mess about abit cos they're so happy xD And widowhood cocks can just get a bit daft now and again Like i say, someone told me that so i stuck to it. However my uncle flew pigeons years ago and he kept them together and trained them together, Didn't harm them
  22. I was told by a top fancier not to do it because of the old birds learn ybs bad habits, See the logic to be fair. Though i keep a few old hens with my ybs for a week or two after parting find it helps learn them a bit
  23. Morning all
