Just spoke to Ian,were going Iam driving.

Snowing none stop in Aberbeen,has been since before 9am. Supposed to go to Newbridge,leaving Aberdeen at 15.00 and starting the rerturn journey about 21.00. Just wondering if I should go.

I cant see the problem,if a pigeon is carrying two official union rings,these numbers must go on the race sheet,you cant say one of the rings is not official just because it is taped up.

after all,a bit of tape over the ring number does not make an official ring disappear,its still on the pigeons leg.

I would think that full ring numbers are required on a race sheet,and if a pigeon is double rung with one ring taped up,and there is only one ring number on the race sheet,an official woud be able to tell the owner to remove the tape and enter the other ring number on the race sheet or the pigeon would not go in the basket.

If a Fed wished to stop this practice all they would have to do is make a rule that states, if a pigeon is double rung,both rings must be of the same year.

Re read the posts I think younger members could do a good job for the snfc,but you would need plenty of spare time,which older members seem to have more of.

I have my own thoughts on this,but we( the snfc) have missed the boat,so well never Know.

I bread a bird that was 6th open y/b national 2005 from louella van geels.

A few years ago the club I am in took in all the members of the Stoneywood RPC when they lost their club rooms and weve never looked back,went fom strenth to strenth.

if there are surrounding clubs with few member they should be draging them in the door.

Could mybe get the boat at Rosyth,if its back on.

Personally,I would rather go to Ypres than Eastbourne.
