  1. If the lights in the corrridor of the transporter were not working did you report it to the transport manager?
  2. Stevie ,when I had to drive the transoorter with you years ago because we had no driver, as he had packed it in, we were at Northallerton. The weather at the race point was o.k and if you recall after the lib, diving up the road, when we got to the Tyne Valley it was covered with mist. I was phoning peiople in Aberdeen to see if the birds were home because it did not look good. When we got to the Stonehaven Club that day to drop of their baskets on the way home, Mike Main said there was only a hand full of birds home. I had not set a clock as I was with the transporter, but I had birds to the race. On hearing this I said to you lets go round by my house and see if I have any race birds home. When you and I went into my loft I had a bird. We took the rubber band off my pigeon and went down to Kenny Pratts house in the transporter and clocked my pigeon ito his clock along with my details. I was 2nd club 4th Fed that day. Was that not a bad race?
  3. He was the only one to put his name forward for the job.
  4. You might have found out by now that the bird belongs to Grant&Massie. I have'nt got a phone number but Mary Park will.

    YPRES RACE

I am not 100% sure about this, but I think the distances for this race is a problem as they would all have to come from the same measurer e.g SHU or RPRA. I have been told that different organisations use slightly different metheds of measurement,so there could be discrepancies if more than one measurer was used.
  7. Aberdeen Fed, 24p the same price the SHU charged us.

  18. Went down to the meeting,we were 10 mins late and missed it.
  19. Dont know if it made any difference to lib,I had 6 birds for the nom and only sent 2 of them, keeping the other 4 at home with my other y/bs. I would not have sent any if it was not the nom race,so this shows you that the money did change my thoughts about racing yesterday.
  20. Well what can I say,my club Sunnybank 10 members sent 94 birds, thankfully 145 less than last week,Lib at 6.30 and at clock opening 18.00,11 birds timed by 8 members. This is the first time I have clocked a pigeon doing 341ypm and I hope its the last. We must learn from this and try to make sure it never happens again. People reading the first post on this thread yesterday(6.30 lib) must have looked out of their windows and thought, they are nuts. This is what happens when you take a chance liberating pigeons,we all new the forcast and made up our own minds to send or not. We must try to remember theres always next week.
  21. This info wont help those of you racing today(too far North) but its the same here as yesterday, sill heavy rain.
