I think flying youngsters on the darkness suits our seasons along with being where were situated in the northern hemisphere, it just seems to work for us best. I wouldn't entertain the light system even if it was far superior than any other system simply because I dont like the idea of having to cut and pull their last flights. Fanciers that work can get around lightening and darkening their lofts simply by using lights, no need for hired hands.

you could try giving them a pair fertile eggs to sit and let them go through the process of rearing. By doing this it could kickstart their hormones proper.
