  1. Hi Lee, I have just purchased one of norbans 10kg tucker bags, it has been in the loft about a week, the birds use it fine & up to now no waste, I have ordered some more --- just a suggestion !. www.norban.co.uk
  2. Some for sale on pigeon chat auction at the moment
  3. I have always thought my birds were pretty good to get them from Lerwick to south east kent 614miles but when you boys on the Shetlands get them home from mainland uk to your little island out in the hostile north sea & sometimes from Morpeth its absolutely amazing, when you say you liberate your trainers from boats at sea even more amazing, what a challenge !!!.
  4. Lee is about 10/15 miles from me still nice here although I can see it clouding up from the south, Hi Chris did you send ?
  5. Lovely clear blue skies here near Ramsgate & hot & hardly a breath of wind. Best of luck everyone.
  6. Its lovely here too Rose a light cool SSE wind
  7. Hello Mikkey, Surely the best thing to have done was feed, water & liberate the bird away from your own BEFORE trying to find the owner !. If it didnt clear then try & find the owner. Just my thoughts of course.
  8. Fanciers have for years timed birds after picking them up off the EXTERNAL landing board & then clocking them BEFORE they have entered the confines of the loft ----- if thats ok then surely the trap in the photo is too.
  9. Talk about splitting hairs !!!. What about if your loft is 100ft long -- two distances ? I dont think so 1. Do we know which end of the car park they are measured from & which end they are liberated from. What side of the lorry are yours ?. Pigeon racing gone mad I think, does it really matter, I suppose it might for the sprinters so it will be a long time before it matters to me.!
  10. My ex partner Bill Fright of Margate (deceased) was a pal of Wallies they used to talk about Kirkpatricks & Arthur Hills of St.Just, Arthur had a grizzle cock from Bill which figured in several of Arthurs pedigrees. The last dealings we had with Wally (East End) was to purchase some Lavern Schumann (if thats how you spell it ! ) birds, little velvets & dark chequers from the states.
  11. I'll be trying that -- thanks Beautyhomer
  12. Thanks for that Redcheqhen I had a quick glance but too complicated for my little brain -- can anyone put it in simpler terms.?
  13. Hello Lee, Barcelona was won feeding a lot of sunflower hearts
  14. Can ANYONE tell me how to breed opals ?
  15. Michael, Would a pair of recessive opals breed more opals, if not what would you pair together to breed opals ?.
  16. Just been on their site & the pack for £24 odd says 100 doses !.
  17. Just been on their site & the pack for £24 odd says 100 doses !.

  19. Has anyone got any information how the voting went ?
  20. Blinkin eck mate --- i just looked that up --- suppose the answer is get someone else to vaccinate them !!!!!!!!!
  21. Seems that we havnt got a lot of choice --- colombovac not available at moment & if you want to pair stock birds late december they need vaccinating before that.
  22. Has anyone accidentally jabbed themselves with Nobivac paramyxo vaccine -- it says in the details that it can be dangerous -- how dangerous ????
  23. In the NFC & BBC you only have to sign a declaration on your entry form to say that your entries have been vaccinated --- when you think about it however could the transporter carry a copy of each competitors certificates. !!
  24. !0% surcharge to the purchaser is fine by me although I think 5% to basics & 5% to the sale organiser (if one is involved) would be fairer, a lot of auctions now charge a buyers commission.
