ive just got some breed & wean corn from banfords along with pigeon rearing pellets along with all my seasons feed

so what time & where for which day

well my late breds gone through the winter with plenty of training just paired them up in a loft together with a few of other ybs that i either lost or hens which were paired to widowhood cocks last year which im giving a try this yeat as my main team are on the widowhood & roundabout gives me more time to stedly train this team up & maybe race them

im going to banfords 2m to get some distance mix along with beans for my distance team

i feed my cocks in there boxes makes em keen & like other post they get use to you moor & on sat makes better trappers i sometimes put abit on floor maybe friday as they can sometimes go off there food & this encourages em to pick

1 bird lofts are ok but dont you think it will kill racing at club/fed level? as you lokk at national racing alot of pigeon fanciers are going for distance for the money!! as clubs seems to be folding up everywhere also got to have a lot of look with 1 loft races a freind of mine won the pre race & over 60 came together & his was the first through the trap so he won!! but alot of luck needed

i use darkness if yb pair up i let them sitt rear young ect the others i split up & like jimmy let the rest go together on friday put bowls in & boy what em race home some i then split up again others leave in to start sitting ect

well even though started to moult they still flying around the loft all stopped training as geting very cold they have had upto 15tosses so far upto miles & coming well another thing about late breds got more time for them as all othere racers stopped & dont seem to loose em from training as not many birds about

yeah think we are gonna get hit this winter & im waiting till mid to late jan also with bird flu around the corner & no idea if the ban is gonna be lifted the last thing i want next year is a loft full of ybs that i cant race if they decide to ban racing

well im gonna feed some of my distance birds beans thats good thing about feeding each bird in there boxes can feed em alldifferent if ya want

all different my best cock is quiet but when it comes down to basketing on friday hes a diffeent bird hwe will scalp anything that comes near him also have otheres who are aggressive most of the time & still win races

sometimes if a pair are finding it hard to pair i put them in a hut on there on for a couple of days this works as a rule for me

isnt it a rpra rule that all birds must be stamped?? or a ring with details

late breds are ok to race/train if you have plenty of em as ive got 8 as season is finnished i have more time for them to train on good days 1 or isnt worth it unless you intend to put em to stock

in our club its 35p per bird plus pools & at fed races channel is £1.05 per bird & 10p per bird in club for fed races

have to vaccinate if racing over the channel do you not race over the channel ms pigeon

ive got 7late breds all flying upto 2hours & started to train em on good days

this year i mixed gerrie plus with v laga was a nice mix with plenty of everything didnt give any peanuts though!! however was 2nd n 3rd club & same in fed from 340miles last old bird race of the season & came back fill of life 1st one flew round so would the peanuts made a difference

gonna give the milk a try next year along with pellets

just looking at another thread & silverdale mentioned that we had this scare here before in 1997 which i briefly remember & he said we had to inject our birds then so why is been blown out of preportion now!!!
