    Dog License

Hi pigeon82 I'd say what did happen is you should have paid £5.00 for your license, and maybe, as is the system down here in Craigavon, they chipped the dog for nothing !! Paul
  2. Hi Folks Was made redundant back in February, and have been helping a neighbour making hen houses, would you believe ! Was thinking about starting up on my own and the first thing I was going to tackle ( to sell !! ) was a 12' x 6' widowhood loft, complete with boxes, probably sliding doors. Any ideas...suggestions ? Sincerely Paul

    Dog License

Just as a matter of interest....could any of you , outside of N.I., let me know how much you pay for a dog license ? It would appear we here in N.I. are going to have to pay £50.00 per dog as and from June next year, and all dogs to be chipped at £30.00 a throw ...........current license is £5.00....chipping not compulsary. Me got 3 dogs......all rescued from Council pound !
  10. Handiness !!
  11. ZK My advice, take a yearly subscription.....£54.00 per 12 months
  12. Have come across double rung birds a couple of times. Usually, when judging, I have a quick look down the class and check for such things. If I find a double rung bird, on this first pass, I simply inform the show secretary, who will generally accept that the bird should not be considered. I then commence judging proper.
  13. Don't think I would enter anyway........too many wires close to loft !!
  14. Just a small up-date. Was talking to John and Annette to-night, and a few facts came to light which I was not aware of : 1. Since this episode began, John has been under pschiatric attention as a person who could 'self-harm' 2. Living with them is Annette's aged mother, well into her 70's I believe. She suffers from Alzheimers. Surely this family are worthy of our support !! Sncerely Paul
  15. Bravo Gary.......Bravo.

    Doggy Tails

My dog is my best friend, because he hears everything and says nothing.
  17. Q. What, in monetary terms, did the RPRA ,in 2009, allocate for the promotion of Pigeon Racing in the United Kingdom ?
  18. Maybe they would...................but at least there would be a pro-active campaign going ahead which would be for the good of the fancy. Paul
  19. A thought....just a thought ! As a group of concerned fanciers......decide on a single question which can be put to the RPRA. When the 'current' question has been decided upon....each person, on a pre-determined date, can go to the website of the RPRA......there is a 'Contact us' on the home page......we all then send this same current question ! This would be an on-going campaign, with different questions decided upon every week or 2 weeks...whatever. The general consensus on PB is the fancy needs to stick together, and maybe if this idea was to gain momentum......you never know....answers maybe forthcoming ! Sncerely Paul

    Murray Bros......no longer sell pigeons.
  21. Hi Jon Hope you have the budget for all these Mercs & BMW's !! Take a look at a Volvo. Another good car, although not sure as to pulling power, would be an Octavia Estate......seriously good value for money. Paul

    Dordins Wanted

Hi Folks, Many years ago, I had a super team of pigeons which I established from birds direct from Pierre Dordin. They were chiefly medium to large in size, and mainly blues ( severely good looking !! probably as we like to remember them ) Anybody know where I could try to find these birds again !! Cheers Paul
  23. How can you reasonably be proposing this thread be locked after only 7 hours ? Paul
  24. I think Owen has got it spot on. I have had several hens in the past which produced youngsters when they were 10 - 12 years old !! At the time we were very ' gentle ' on our breeding hens, and never did we take more than 3 rounds from any hen. Paul.
  25. In fact every pigeon has technically got 4 wings !! Paul.
