  1. for what i have heard about them there good birds, but i think they come with a price tag on them, but think you could get them from some genuin fanciers on here. Les
  2. wheatgerm oil is getting dearer latley.i buy a 2ltr bottl from crowthers in wakefield for 11 quid, but it does last for over a year has i only have a small 18ft loft.
  3. its a little like roland janssen at the moment,he getting the busschearts from louella to blend in with his own, guess what they will be back in this country in the next 2 years has roland janssens and youl be paying lots of money for them, its crazy isnt it,but good stuff for him.
  4. Can i ask, what is the base of these pigeons rarther than the mans name.To move forward you need to go back in time and see what pigeons these men use to bacome good in the first place. ;D

    Training.

Doesnt any body realise we might be racing in this type of weather in years to come, take a look at how the weather is lenthening into the year, then what r u going to say,IME NOT SENDING ITS TOO COLD.The pigeons are climatising them selves and are adopting to this weather just like all the other wildlife is around us,tell me this when your letting your widow cock out for a fly how long do they fly for ? i bet they fly longer than it takes them to come from training, think about it.Just my opinion
  8. speedbird on here always advertises karl herman pigeons,it wasnt long ago he put some youngsters on here for sale.
  9. agree ,nice red 1.
  10. best way to explain feather quality is,when you handle the pigeon tip it forward and it should start to slide from your hands, also the best ones feel a wierd dampish texture to them.some one on here might be able to explain a little better on the wet feel of well pigeons.i just feel its there on extra special pigeons. les
  11. ill be ready, hopefully, well the cocks will be,not raced old birds for a few years due to a few things but feel i am ready this year. Les
  12. Very true.
  13. no bud,i mean tha camiel cardons of jackjacks, whites always look nice but if there going to be raced, its better if theres winners behind them, Les
  14. do they win races ?
  15. great birds,great set up.
  16. and i thought minerals came out of the ground already wet, silly me,really if you watch your pigeons they would rather eat the minerals outside when the weather has been at it,make a hole in the garden and put all your minerals in mixed up,put the same in the loft and see were your birds prefer going,i guess its to the hole in the garden, its nature
  17. Got us in pontefract, felt really heavy,i thought i was really good untill i heard it was a earthquake that shoock the house,no really we thought we had a polterguist in our bedroom, waredrobe shaking 4 poster bed shaking, really sxit me up.
  18. No wonder Timbarra is kicking so much of a stink up on here, they breed a rare type of cat and they sell for quit a lot of money.
  19. Very interesting,
  20. same happened to me yesterday aswell 2 blue cocks and a dark cock walked out of my stock loft,i never shut the door properley ,all good pigeons aswell. Les
  21. i once paired my no1 stock hen a 1993 janssen vanden bosch hen with a direct son of "stamvater" when paired to "sheer elegance" pure janssen and they bred a choc pied in there first nest.the hen had recessive reds in her pedigree but the cock was pure janssen of arendonk so through my findings both sexes dont need the chocolate gene in them.Dont know weather the red fox colouring had an inpact in the colour but theres definatly no vanden bosch in the sire.
  22. if you want quality pigeons that will breed winners from belguim,go to the infamous lofts in the little villages who dont know about pedigrees and strains, just good winning pigeons, then again they might not want to part with there birds has there not into making money, with most now its 1 price for us and a different for others. And i do blame most agents for this type of conning.Has for the vanden bosch pigeons ive never seen any has good has gerrard schlepphorsts of germany, now he did have a track record for breeding many top winners in this country. Les
  23. shouldnt it be beverdam pigeons that have bred winners instead of just the breed bred by beverdam,i have had quit a few janssens and muelmans direct from beverdam in the last 10 yrs and only found 1 cock that bred winners and 2 hens that went on to breed winners.Plus if you do find directs that have bred winners do you think they would sell them ? i dont think so,unless there youngsters. The ones that didnt breed went into the sky and the ones that did breed stopped with me till the end.Think before you buy andrew ,has you will be selling youngsters from these to breed nowt but rubbish, ask timbarra if he would sell his directs,i know the answer already.
  24. Love the blue cock 004pic
  25. a friends got some directs,i put a direct one on here a few months ago,she also had already bred winners for him aswell,i saw the pedigree and found gaby vandenabeele bloodlines in it. Les
