Well done Scott, I'm so chuffed for you mate. I might need to try some of these distance doos
  3. That's fantastic news.......well done to them both. Great flying mate!!!!
  4. Have to agree there Tam......top flying!!! What a great season Peter has had and not to forget the season our club has had..........9 x 1st Fed in 10 races
  5. Cheers, but my biggest problem would be getting the bird to the liberation site. I was hoping for a member to be living nearby.
  6. Well done Peter......outstanding flying mate!!! You're a cert
  7. I was wondering if there are any members that live near Appleby that could pick up my bird from a non fancier. The postcode is CA16 6DL. Your help would be much appreciated. Colin.
  8. Who wins Bo'ness this week and what time?
  9. Not many have, but I'm glad I did
  10. Did you like that one? Our very own WulDon had his part to play in these performance
  11. Totally agree with you 100%, Henry is one of the best, his performances over the past few years have been outstanding, but I didn't want to single out club members. The only reason I mentioned Peter was that his Federation winners were bred by us. Now that you have mentioned Henry (2 x 1st Fed) I would like to mention Tam Weir who also topped the Fed........this makes up the 8 x 1st Feds. Well done lads!!!!!
  12. It's not very often an old bird season like this comes a long, so I thought I'd share this with the members. Firstly, our club Winchburgh & District (Scottish Central) have had what can only be described as a dream old bird season. Our members have topped the Fed on no fewer than 8 weeks on the trot, sometimes taken more than just the top spot.......that's every old bird race so far this season As I said, it's not very often this happens, hence my post. We all know with pigeon racing you can be up one week and down the next, but for our club to maintain this level of performances is something special. Secondly, the most satisfying thing for us (me & Dad)........we are responsible for the breeding of 5 off these Fed winners.......3 x Peter Keogh and 2 x ourselves. What makes these wins even more interesting are the birds that achieved these results. Peter's Ripon 1 winner is a direct son from our Cheq hen that won Ripon 2 the following week.........that's dam & son topping the Fed in the space of 2 wks to two different fanciers Then we have Peter's most recent Fed winner from Peterborough, which I think also finished 6th Open Scottish Central Yearling Combine, is the actual nestmate to our good Blue Pied hen that topped the Fed from Wakefield. As a matter of interest, our yearling Blue Pied hen achieved 7th, 9th, 3rd & 1st Fed in the space of 4 weeks. With pigeon racing we have to enjoy the good days to the max as more often than not the bad days out weigh them. Enjoy your birds!! Alb, Colin. PS. Late breds available soon
  13. Well done Peter on another fantastic result......great flying!!! I'll need to get some of those birds What's even more pleasing.......that's now 8 weeks on the trot (every Ob race this season) our club Winchburgh has topped the Fed, and on some occasions taken more than just the top spot. That is an outstanding effort considering the size of the club and birdage I'd be interested to know the last time this was done with Ob racing in Central Fed........probably before my time.
  14. Well done Peter........top flying mate!!! Is that the possibility of another Fed topper??
  15. Well done Tam in topping the Fed........great result. Well done also to Andos & Alec in achieving 3rd Fed........well done mate, that's a good g/sire I'd also like to mention that it's now 7 wks on the trot the Winchburgh Boys have topped the Federation. What a fantastic effort
  16. Well done to you both, great flying. Alb, Colin.
  17. Well done to the two Jim's......fantastic result!!! Keep it up mate
  18. Let's hope you top the Fed Tam. If you do that will be 7 wks on the trot for the Winchburgh boys Not a bad effort for a small club........no mob flyers here!! Fingers crossed for you pal.
  19. He's finally listening to me Looks like you're starting to as well
  20. Well done Andos & Alec........great result mate You took your time lol
  21. Well done Tam on what turned out a very difficult race. Thankfully the birds eventually made their way through.
  22. Well done to the two Jim's..........great flying boys!!!! Hope you top the Fed
  23. I take it that it's been confirmed Alec as we haven't had the phone call yet? I assume it must be if it's coming from you........cheers, will let Dad know. This will lift his spirits after Hibs being relegated yesterday
  24. Willie, The word on the street is she is topping the Fed, but I would rather wait until it's official, been there too many times. No problem at all mate......you breed them and we'll race them Just let me know and I'll be there.......won't turn away anything from your stock loft. See ya soon Colin
