  1. and by the way if your working all day and you rely on the birds going in on there own WHILST AT WORK open door is not going to be much benefit to them coming home from training like i have to do 3 times a week so think before you post everyone is different and i can't think of anyone in my fed that flies open door with young birds
  2. if me and you were flying against each other and 2 birds came into the area you with open door and me with stall trap, guess who would come out on top(wiseman)
  3. no way what a load tosh, stall traps everytime if your using a conventional way of timing if ETS then slightly modify
  4. anybody find UB40 red red wine
  5. classic blast from the past (ok)
  6. classic
  7. ian i think the channel race will be from ypres with an approach to the snfc for convoying that will bring the date of the scc forward so hopefully members will have a few more birds to send rather than at the end of the programme when most folk have gave up and are concentrating on their young birds the yearling derby will be from leicester we have two of them in our programme details will follow when theres been a combine meeting
  8. thot moxedectin was a one day treatment

  15. not disputing that it's just that he says she is one of the best birds in his loft and was wondering if he has raced the hen since reporting her
  16. is the hen a stray that you reported then ?
  17. as i said in my original post a bit dimwitted healthwise perfect but always hungry, will hold onto him as an experiment and see how he goes when i start feeding the round about cocks in their boxes if he starts jumping into other boxes looking for food then i'm afraid there will only be one outcome
  18. has any of the members come across this before,i have young cock who always appears to be starving when the other 27 birds are quite content on whati give them about one an a half ounces per day in one feed per day, they are fed in the hopper and he's always going mental diving in and out of different spaces in the hopper, ithink this could be his problem he's that dimwitted if he would stay in the one spot he would get get his share of the feed but he does that much darting about the other birds are eating the most of his share (never make a doo me thinks) has anyone ever had a bird like this thats went on to score
  19. ps getting out of your bed in the morning ,pigeons are creatures of habit and if their fed at 7 in the morning during racing they need to be fed at 7 every morning because what you are not doing someone else is
  20. correct frank we have not got a good avian vet on our doorstep and i have mentioned to you in the past i don't like sending droppings by post,i like you try and set a prevention programme out for the season ahead and always have done and it's each to their own i just like to keep the "counts" down and if their not there i don't think i'm doing the bird any harm if i'm giving a 3 day treatment and if anybody can give me the name of a good avian vet in the falkirk area feel free to do so but don't tell me lawrie up the high station cos i've dealt with him in the past and was throwing money away

    whitburn show

our club didn't advertise the club shows in the bhw this year cos the last 2/3 years we were getting polluted with show racers and good doo men were giving them tickets.these lads only come too these shows to pick up tickets cos if a doo gets a certain amount of tickets with big classes it can be entered into more advanced classes at blackpool and the like and we had a wee nomination pool going and they killed that aswell
  23. stuart peaston (south queensferry)1st and 2nd open avaranches with suspension jack and suspension vice versa hence the name, the two birds came together so any one of them could have won the national. Can't remember the year tho' maybe someone could post this up it would be in the 70's
  24. ps you can get all your requirements if your going to blackpool
  25. correct, know a fancier that lost a full round of yb's using these
