  6. theright photographers have the right equipment and they take the photo using foot equipment and the photo booth is built especially with holes in the side that the photographer can insert 2 sticks to position the bird while he looks thru the lens and operates the camera using his foot.seen bobby kennedy doing it you just need the right equipment

    DELBOY

condolences to you and your family derek martin conlin
  14. then i think the bird becomes wary of you the fancier and loses confidence in you jmo was told years ago the bird should never bite the hand that feeds it and should have all confidence in the fancier not all birds are the same tho
  15. thats why i'm on here
  16. what i do is when the offending cock goes into the wrong box let the fight commence then get a hold of one leg of the offender they will be to busy fighting to notice you've got a hold on the leg gently draw the fight to the edge of the box and draw the offender off the box onto the floor (gently) the offender will think he's been ousted and the cock who resides in the box will think he's won you might have to do it 2/3 times but normally they get the message.i think if a bird gets a battering like you said then same bird loses all confidence and is never the same.tony c's idea sounds ok too
  17. i'm led to believe that the new life rings will be in use next year and i think they weren't brought in this year because there sitting with a stock pile of the old type they probably bought on the cheap and they'll flog to us this year 2010 at rip off prices JMO
  18. good educational video kev for any new starter that wants to learn about the stall trap, pity you didn't show the inside of the trap to show the workings of it,i stillbelieve it's the best form of timing pigeons from a race into and it should also be noted that the landing board can be made bigger if required
  19. since the last couple of weeks there has been nothing but tepid water in my birds drinkers due to it constantly freezing over and the birds are looking great and the droppings are A1 so do we really need all this cider vinegar ,probiotics and everything else that's supposed to support the" immune system" i have used all these things in the past and up to the present and think as somebody has probably already posted that are we tinkering too much with pigeons these days
  20. me personally i would let the 2 pairs sit 10 days then slip the good eggs under the foster pair and let your good pair go back down on their next set of eggs
  21. cheers alf as long as it's not anything like up here at the moment
  22. just read in the papers that the cold spell's to be with us another 2 weeks, anyone know what the streets are like in blackpool at the moment or in that area
  23. not up to speed on photos etc but i'm sure one of the more up to date members on here will post you a reply or photo (ok)
  24. but the difference is klaus you posted up the way to trap y/b's is through an open door then you tell us thats the way your doing it for 2010 when you started in july so you have never experienced open door trapping so you are first timer at this method telling a new starter how to trap young birds,i'm not knocking you klaus if i can call you that but calm doon (dizzy)
  25. still think you onto a loser with the open door method bakes, worked with the stall trap old/young birds on ets now and never looked back, been involved with pigeons 40yrs and apart from ets stall trap still the best way to trap pigeons, and pigeons are still in a routine so don't post up open doors when as you say how you do your managment is up to you not joe bloggs down the club because joe bloggs down the club will come up and bite your *expletive removed*
