  4. thanks mate i only usually put someting on the floor of the loft till their all basically perching then remove it but if it was lying ok then i would maybe leave it cos of the time factor i have with the birds

    looking at page 55 of the BHW this week the fancier has his young birds on some sort of bedding,it looks good and i would like to obtain it anyone know what it is from looking at the photo thanx martin
  6. dougie the sparrowhen will be hunting like buggery the now to fatten herself up before she goes down on eggs in the middle/end of april then you will get peace from her for a while cos she solely incubates her eggs until then be vigilant (don't leave the birds for a second)

  9. alex the ones that are not on eggs give them their freedom out of the boxes aswell you are preventing the natural driving process of the cock and you'll find if he gets to drive his hen to the nest they'll probably go down on eggs that bit quicker (ok)

  23. just wonderin as the bricon has 2 pins at the bottom and when slid into the ring they branch out at the bottom and lock the chip in place whereas the unikon hasn't got the pins and just slides and locks

  25. mine faces NE as well rab but mine has a dowelled front(snobby (happy)) but i made shutters out of perspex and they can be removed if required,but they never are,just keep less birds than nestboxes
