    Ivermectin

So :-/ If it can supposedly harm Collie dogs, but not other strain od dogs, then why can it be potent against other forms of life? Of it can and is... just too many concerns trying to disprove it makes it - to me and several others - all the more reason to use it! But mainly because the simplicity is that it WORKS!
  3. Yes been there. Formed a proper Union again to replace the one - same one lol - that was U.S. All ushered like. Great improvements. Trouble was every one waited till Night shift to see me -I was permant Nights - which meant seein the Shift supervisor, and / or going in next day. One Superviser said after I'd make an appointment. Don't but in, but watch when Mary comes with you to see me.- Was really just letting her and a mate that he was boss like and had seperated them from working together, rediculous I know lol -Any way he started by pretending to be shocked, indeed hurt that they could go to the union about him.... and then utter dribble about - with some truth elements - of hadn't he done this that the other regularly helping etc. etc. and the repayment was getting him a black mark with the bosses. She appoligise , blame me and said good bye and went back to work. THEN TOLD ME A FEW REALITIES. We agreed that they would go back to their' former posts. Another when I rejected a 5% rise, was offered 4%... We had a shilling an hour bonus for starting shifts on time (5%). They came back and offered to split the difference making it 41/2% if we'd meet them half way too, and scrap the shift bonus! So in real terms were 1/2% worst off... they voted it in lol.

Now, one moment IB is saying that it can't afect Falcon etc. and can Pigeons, then it can harm dogs etc. All different species having different result. Now two points are clear... Pour on IS Different from the norm, and Vets would much rather you use their (Pricy) methods etc. and NO Falconer etc. will ever admit that it can affect them. It has to be pour on, simple and straight.Area's are having sucess with it, and never heard yet any detrimental effects on pigeons. Now the main thing is, if it just does the worming etc. etc. and MAY, just may, have a beneficial affect on other species to our liking, then it makes common sence to use it. If hawks love, so beit it, if they don't so what! We will still be getting some worthwhile results. Every pigeon should have some. And further Falcons don't get over Cankers.... Pity the ferals don't suffer from canker and get caught eh!
  5. Welcome MikeV, glad you could pop in.

Still advocate that every member of any pigeon club should use it.... Can't do any harm in doing so, and may well just have a bonus regards Raptures. Of course it is the former reeasons for using it...
  7. Great Wriet up PATTY BHOY, I enjoyed reading that.

Stricneen was very dangerous, smoke a ciggerette even... but is still as lethal to day as it has always been. Never believe the Falconers and the RSPB with the naturual interests to guard. Of course they state that.... hard able to state otherwise... well not the wise bit at any rate lol

    Ivermectin

Yes the Falconer do use it ... which they very quickly made sure was promoted as such, and for very obvious reason one might well believe. BUT that is not the same as 'Pour On' which has a very good on both pigeons and for their owners of course.
  10. Aye, didnae wanna dem ta fuund mae hoose like. ;D ;D

Best is confirm with Bilco, but you will find - I believe - that it is best to have / use Pour On Ivermectin. Like I advocate, regardless whether one believes the part of the Rapture deterrent, it certainly does the same job, if not better all clubs /feds even, should buy between them and use it.

Peanut butter is cool ... but the smell attracts too. I use mars bars in traps, and bread with antifreeze. It is sweet tasting...
  14. Well I believe that the above has good merits, no two ways about that. Only floar as I see is when Joe 'Stirrer' wants to join and spreaad the crapo! But the lesser of two evils surely must be the better, ANYONE within the radious can join. Cheaper costs etc. etc. and every club nigh needs all the help and members they can get. The beauty is, that NO club can refuse to send any RPRA registered bird to any race, be it to race or as a Trainer. Now that would, and does get up ther noses when they won't have you in the club. Yes they have to set and do the clocks for you too.
  15. Had a bad night mare last night, crikey, hordes of marauding Scots of all ages and sexes with the kilts blowing in a wet windy day descending upon Downing street... they came out of the forests right past my hoose on their way. every eatable animal terrified running for the lifes lol ;D ;Dl
  16. True, and I've never been against ET's. But does just go to show how folks view things. If against their' views, sack the lot, comittee are fossiles etc., and all moans and whinges take place. But do exactly the same, which they like, then Dam everyone else, great committee, should have done it a long time ago etc. Which brings me back to my first big harp. Doesn't matter is we keep this lot or not, if we select and vote in a completely different lot, or even form a new body that takes over the riens from the RPRA, all will be fruitle, and quickly the same till members get of their arses and moan, whinge at meetings, then vote at every level!
  17. Thanks Gangster, but there is a shipment already going in January with room for these too, so he wishes to take advantage of course of that.
  18. Hi Ally Mac...I enclose part of his email.... While at the Kentucky Show I saw a small display of Horseman Pouters from Scotland. They looked exactly like the type of fancier bird I could settle on. I could not only show them in the winter, but work them with my homers in the spring, summer and fall. Since than I have done quite a bit of research on the breed. Apparently they are very new to North America and only 5 pair have been imported starting about five years ago. From what I understand, the English or the best inthe world at breeding them for show. All their youngsters that don't meet the show standard go to Scotland to be flown in the competitions. It did not take me long to realize that the only way to get involved with this breed in Canada is to find a good source in England or Scotland and get some birds shipped to North America. As it turns out, I have a contact that is being in a shipment of homers from England early in January and he is willing to add to the shipment. My problem is that I have not had time to track down any contacts in England. Is there a National fancy pigeon organization that I could contact to locate some Horseman breeders? I hope this puts things in prospective Ally Mac.
  19. SuperStar, where did I ever do the things You imply?!!! Never but yet you harp on... But that be as it may, just answer me this. You are all for getting rid of this committee etc. One reason being that they don't take notices of us, and do just as they will, willy - nilly. Yet it is fine for them to go against the majority as you state Knowing that it would get through via a vote of the members, that most were against it, and applaud them for doing it via the back door in a very underhanded way, if not illegal and on a trumped up no existence rule. Seems to me that you like most, want the cake and eat it. Sure it is great when they behave with atrocity if it suits you. Never mind the twaddle about moving with the times, or for the betterment of the sport etc. It was a dirty move, yet that's ok eh!
  20. Hi all, Recently I saw a thread regards Horsemen Pouters ... some lofts were in Scotland as well as England etc. I have a mate - funny that he is a nice fellow and we get on well... so he must be understanding lol - Any way he wishes to ship a few back home to Canada. What I need / he needs is a few leads, etc. in this regards. He wishes to ship then to Canada in Jauary. Any help in this regards would be appreciated. Post here or P.M. Or can give his Email addie Thanks in advance Roland
  21. Worrying thought that... thousands marching upon London in the middle of a wet windy Winter lol ;D ;D ;D
  22. What are you trying to say there roland? Are you trying to make out you and your ideas are of a superior nature to anything I have to say? No most definately not... and please have respect and learn that Names have a capital letter to start them with... too long to go into that but Roland is not roland...
  23. That is exactly what is done now, and has been done for yonks.... where you been? And keeping slating on about the ET'S like I tried, and tried, yes even put in words that a 5 year old upwards could understand... but like I stated then, YOU never got it! Still can't understand, and further still you don't know the gist, or where I stood on ET'S. Never once have I said I was against them etc. etc. But then some falls on stony ground. Mind I'm glad there are some like you that have this thing about me. Just shows that though you don't particularly like me - from you posts at any rate - you certainly sit up and listen when I speak ... shame you can't understand the simple basics I spell out though.
  24. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=t6qoQ7UvEBk&feature=related It's worrying lol ;D
  25. Why? Doesn't that mean even more slanted and more selfish motives for the 'Click / ole boys brigade'? Isn't jus the fact that most sucessful managers etc. usually are not from the sport, and very seldom ones that excelled from they past time / hobby sport etc. Yes exceptions to the rules sometimes...
