Well Allen, you post is undoubtedly 110% correct. The main problem, as I see it, most folks don't even like, let alone handle a dead rat, let alone a live one. When they stand up on it's hind legs and snals and spits at you, it ids very off putting.

Yes had a flash come up Wales won by 3 goals, and Scotland by four lol.... New the P.c. had been shafted lol ;D ;D

I have been following this story with mouth agaped for over a year. I saw many good pigeon fanciers har har it, and likewise my self. It is the old con of take £100 of three feloows and pay them back £15 each month. Then another 3 or 4 investers at £150 and start paying them back £15. Now you can show regular payments to those to new investors of £250 and pay back them £20 a month and so forth. Soon you have thousands coughing up £500 - £600 investments and you go bankrupt with well use excuses. Sure your sad etc. but I really thought ... Cobblers, I knew more gullible tricks were out there till it got too big more like... So read for your selfs. And remember this happens in ALL and any walk of life! http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/story/CTVNews/20081113/wfive_pigeons_081113/20081115?hub=WFive

Ritchie either as a player... but what a player. Too many really I suppose to name all. Mind never was a 'Poppies supporter' but have to give credit or dirt where due.
-
Yeah like I say peter Morris did well, very well indeed as he had to reduce, and swap lesser players due to price / cash flow. But will say that there can't be a more honest and better chairman than Mechamppy, certainly stuck his hand in his pocket and kept us going through a very rough and lean spell. Yes unfortumately was into a downward spiral at the last seasons or two. But a very nice and genuine fellow.
-
Well racer, seems as we were both missed last year, that it may well be fitting lol ;D
-
Hope. health, and happiness in the future to you.
-
Very true, and yes the fans did like him overall. a Chairman too that just couldn't afford to be. Often see him at lower tables looking for signings. He is setting Corby back on track big time so we are all pleased for them. Still can't beleive we turned Max Griggs down ... Like Northampton Town did... hence why he took on Irthingborough, and then Rushden consolidated to make Rushden and Diamonds. Still that's life as they say. We have had some great name mangers in our History, Like Dougan, Lawton, Aitkinson, Bentley, Rowley, and many more. Indeed Dougan whilst here started the controversy of players names on shirts, Contracts etc. etc. And Kettering still holds the record for scoring the most FA. Cup goals.

Agreed vallance lofts. A waste of space and good air. Same as Gazza, great player ... when he was manager here he was a public disgrace.... every night and week - end. Again can't spout here...

Here, never ever said let alone applied for... Mind if permission s asked for then it can't be refused.... makes one wonder why they let a council bloke get involved to show off, pretend to be something they'll not imply know something you don't! Must say I don't have much synpathy for burkes getting them invovle needlessly. No higher than 8 foot, or 12 foot long and a couple of metre from back door etc. and nowt said. If bigger and higher etc. They can aply to see and measure it etc. As for inspecting the birds, they have no juristriction, and would take a lot of plottng and paperwork etc. Applicantions etc. etc. that it is too much trouble to bother with. If a nieghbour etc. complains... they must state who if you stand firm.... they usually forget it. So any one that invites and get hassle usually asks for it.

Great book published in Belgium in 2005 about the 'National' winners, their' shapes, wieght and sizes etc. etc. distances flew, methods etc. The only not surprising thing is that there is certainly no set mode, all different etc.

Yep, like retrieving eggs etc. Who would want a dog to bring home a badly chewed up and half eaten bird...

'Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as: Knowing when to come in out of the rain; why the early bird gets the worm; Life isn't always fair; and maybe it was my fault. Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge). His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition. Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an Aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion. Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault. Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement. Common Sense was preceded in death, by his parents, Truth and Trust his wife, Discretion his daughter, Responsibility his son, Reason He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers; I Know My Rights I Want It Now Someone Else Is To Blame I'm A Victim Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you still remember him, pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing Japanese scientists have created a camera with a shutter speed so fast, they can now photograph a woman with her mouth shut. A boy asks his granny, 'Have you seen my pills, they were labelled LSD?' Granny replies, expletive removed* the pills, have you seen the dragons in the kitchen?! Little Billy asks his dad for a telly in his room. Dad reluctantly agrees. Next day Billy comes downstairs and asks, 'Dad, what's love juice?' Dad looks horrified and tells Billy all about sex. Billy just sat there with his mouth open in amazement. Dad says, 'So what were you watching?' Billy says, 'Wimbledon.' A woman standing nude in front of a mirror says to her husband, I look horrible, I feel fat & ugly, pay me a compliment.' He replies, 'Your eyesight is perfect.' Wife gets naked & asks hubby, 'What turns you on more, my pretty face or my sexy body?' Hubby looks her up & down and replies, 'Your sense of humour! An elderly couple is attending Mass. About halfway through, the wife leans over and says to her husband, 'I just let out a silent fart; what do you think I should do?' He replies, 'Put a new battery in your hearing aid.'

Appropiate poison is onethat is effective and works. Like oats that have been sprinkled with cement. Anti freeze in a bread and peanut butter sanries. Most - Like renta kill - crap only makes them bigger and stronger. Sister in law was asked by nieghbours to stop feeding the rats. Peplex she said she didn't. Was told that they ate the stuff on top of the barns she threww up there. But that's for the birds she says. Well the rats don't know that or care they said. So it was stopped and nephew gave the rats tibbits in pipes. No rat problem now. All people able ought to leave it out from time to time in pipes...

Well Bob Flemming would say 'Seen a lot of culls with good eyes ... never great birds with a bad eye'. But then what is a bad eye?

Like I say, asked the RSPCA times for things... see them watching cruelty at the markets etc. One Sunday morning a dog wit week old pups left whilst the owners went on their Holidays. Told them, as they were interested and couldn't do oat I was kicking the back door. They informed the police. i inform Rorke Garfield. He told me not to and let him. The RSPCA did turn up with the police to areest me if I broke in. Rorke kicked the door in. a bowl of empty water and a load of food splattered about. Rouke took them. RSPCA wanted the police to press charges as to these whipper snapper etc. and set an example. Nothing was ever heard of again. Though the local rag did take pictures. rattle changes and they come out the wood work. ASK for help and there is a list prepare why they can't waste money...
-
The week before is the 'Entertainment Agencies' etc. know a few of them of course... I wonder who's the lot the week before :-/ :-/ ;D ;D
-
Yep me too from Thursday afternoon. Might be a week or two earlier the way the missis creates lol ;D
-
Animal Rescue Service is genuine as far as can be. No two ways about that, and DO do a lot of good work constantly. Trouble is they are few and far between.
-
;D ;D ;D ;D That must at least tie - more likely win though - as the joke of the centuary. Granted you will see them shaking their tins etc. just after a 'Media spread etc. But don't ever bother to waste the cost of a phone call if you need a help in any way... Understaffed, too far away etc. meaning 'No money or fame for me...'
-
No problem personally with the £5. And Phil I fully take on board your point(s). But I'd say I am more right than wrong knowing the mentality of many. So for me it should - as you say - stay as a bit of fun, and hopefully the benefit being that somewhere some with get a good outcross into their birds.
-
Good idea, but would spoil it next season for sure...as Just when would it be possible to decide on the best performance of the 69 eligible canidates... All would have a case pressed forward I fear... Saw a great y/b that won 5 Feds, that was 2 on the South Rd. and 3 on the North Rd entered for a RPRA merit award. Was given a good write up full stop, and around the 4th mark!!! A bird considered better hadn't won one fed! 1984 I believe.More extroadianay was that this bird was from Wales. So both ways took some doing!
-
Yes it cut downs the water intake... hence I said a good wieght reducer if needed....
-
How true Blaz... and is the number one reason why fanciers often ask 'Did you water them'! The w/h cocks have monopalised the drinkers and many don't get a drink I believe.
-
By the way, he is, like all mine a natural cock bird. Only the few in the stock loft have been seperated of course.
