believe it's a slow transaction over the week. Protein is a building block. Linseed is a laxative. If toxins arepresent, barly linseed mix. Barly a blood purifyer and a laxative. Protien repairs tares and and builds muscles. Now of course if a bird is flown out, chances are it has used some muscles as heat units, that's as a fuel. This means toxin. So to feed protien too soon would just make matters worse. have to cleanse the blood and toxins before you repair and build, other wise you would just be fueling the toxins. Week light feed and rest, when fluffed up on the roof top / perch it s telling you I need rest and toxins cleared normally. At least a week before muscles, tares and repairs can safely take place.... Built up then cards to get their system to store up fats etc. etc. etc.r

Looks like a Buxton... bit heavy. Think it would be better just on the Monday after you've fed a higher protein, before you start mixing more carbs. JMO

I've heard that flights go quicker if you strike up a conversation with your fellow passenger.' The little girl, who had just opened her book, closed it slowly and said to the stranger, 'What would you like to talk about?' 'Oh, I don't know,' said the stranger. 'How about nuclear power?' and he smiles. OK, ' she said. 'That could be an interesting topic. But let me ask you a question first. A horse, a cow, and a deer all eat the same stuff - grass - . Yet a deer excretes little pellets, while a cow turns out a flat patty, and a horse produces clumps of dried grass. Why do you suppose that is?' The stranger, visibly surprised by the little girl's intelligence, thinks about it and says, 'Hmmm, I have no idea...' To which the little girl replies, 'Do you really feel qualified to discuss nuclear power when you don't know s**t?

Course oatmeal 2lb milk 4 tablespoons salt 1 tablespoon Sugar 3 tablespoons Cod-l-oil 2 tablespoons Calcium fortified tablets2 Vitamin tablets crushed 6 this was many years ago, and was Stan Bishops (old hand)views on what to use in conjunction with a all bean feeding regime, although peanuts /oilseed fed at right time would do just as well for distance racing, wheat germ oil mixed with rolled oats etc turning them golden brown for a few days before would do the business as well.

Some times money certainly helps .... Blackburn bought the title like others - Chelsea nd Man U. etc. That is the difference I feel a lot of the time. A great name 'Martin O'Neil' and Harry Rednapp, Big Sam do well - though Spurs are the 2nd riches owner - following in the foot steps of Brian Clough. But money alone is not enough. Needs a lot of cogs today to cog together i believe. Jock Stein and Walter Smith with even era and Money would have peoduced great side here I believe. Ofcourse like other great Scottish managers I.e. Tom Docherty, Shankley, Daglish - not my favourite BUT favourite player ete. etc. So the talent is there - some git who must be rated as an all time great called Fergie or sommat ;D. And great players both side of the borders. Yet I personally feel that the scots, are great individuals and never team player. Hearts on sleeves and run in to the ground. So if the money was there, would it be 8 + foriegners - like Arsenal etc - in their teams?

I went with some out of town friends to Sweety Pies on Sunday for breakfast, and we sat in the enclosed patio section beside the house. We happened to notice a couple of zip lock baggies pinned to a post and a wall. The bags were half filled with water, each contained 4 pennies, and they were zipped shut. Naturally we were curious! Ms Sweety told us that these baggies kept the flies away! So naturally we were even more curious! We actually watched some flies come in the open window, stand around on the window sill, and then fly out again. And there were no flies in the eating area! This morning I checked this out on Goggle. Below are comments on this fly control idea. I'm now a believer! Zip-lock water bags Sue says: Many people swear that a zip-lock bag filled half-way with water and attached over entry-ways will repel flies. No one yet knows how or why it works, but there is speculation that it has something to do with the way the moving water refracts light. If you have tried this please use the comments form at the bottom of the page to share your results with the rest of us. Ann Says: October 5th, 2008 at 5:51 pm I did tried the ziplock bag and pennies this weekend. I have a horse trailer with full LQ. The flys were very bad this weekend while I was camping. I put the baggie with pennies above the door of the LQ. NOT ONE FLY came in the trailer. The horse trailer parthad many. Not sure why it works but it does!!!!!!! Danielle Martin Says: September 20th, 2008 at 8:43 pm Fill a ziplock bag with water and 5 or 6 pennies and hang it in the problem area. In my case it was a particular window in my home. It had a slight but significant passage way for insects. Every since I have done that, it has kept flies and wasps away. Some say, that wasps and flies mistake the bag for some sort of other insect nest and are threatened by this. Maggie Says: June 7th, 2009 at 11:40 am I swear by the plastic bag of water trick I have them on side porch ( our house entry) and all around the basement door. We saw these in Northeast Mo at an Amish grocery store & have used them since. They say it works because a fly sees a reflection & won't come around. Just DJ Says: May 16th, 2009 at 7:25 pm Regarding the science behind zip log bags of water? My research found that each of the millions of molecules of water presents its own prism effect and given that flies have a lot of eyes, to them it's like a zillion disco balls reflecting light, colors and movement in a dizzying manner. When you figure that flies are basically prey for many other bugs, animals, birds, etc., they simply won't take the risk of being around that much perceived action. I moved to a rural area and thought these "hillbillies" were just yanking my city boy chain but I tried it, worked immediately! We went from hundreds of flies to seeing the occasional one, but he don't hang around long.

Just to set the record straight, before any slats might start pointing fingers or mislaying blame. I believe that Bob will confirm that any and every time we have emailed / p.med each other it has always been in a gentlemanly and respectful manner. indeed in his last pm to me he thanked me for being open, honest and above board and enlightening. Which is how I like to think every pm I've ever sent is, and was, and further more will be. Fine to disagree, but not to be disagreeable eh!.

Thanks gentlemen. I feel that my point has been well and truely made. Obviously some may wish to carry this mindless bitching for their own purposes and agenda. Let them get on with it. I myself wish to concentrate on more research. More probing worthwhile aspect and anything that can, or will enhance any progress in this plight of ours. Further I wish to appolige for my silly and disrespectful behavior on this site to all members especially the Mods, and others that like me, just want what is best regardless how attained. But I stand by every word. Have a clear conscience and know I am with others working for the good of the majority and worthwhile genuine fanciers. The other don't deserve a mention, and as such I won't even recognised their existance. Thanks again for your support of the truth.

Very good. a little lighter, but nothing a few days feed and rest, piddling about picking in the garden, won't put right.

One home... a smile at last lol.

Yes, but the reality is simple in this regards. Pigeons used to time in well from lerwick riddled with ailment and canker etc. etc. From 96 miles they could walk part of it and still home easy.
-
Healthy Pete? Yes, corky and firm like tennis balls. Tight feathered and silky as satin. Beating me home as a batch and full of flying. Eating like no tomorrow... as soon as they started to mave away from the feed, it was removed. Clean fresh water etc.

Yes, is getting a bit too personal I'd agree. But then - in my oppinion is the unwarrented vendetta of tarnishing good members of the P.O.B who are a honest and good intensional body endeavouring to help, not only the 'Pigeon fanciers' but the wild birds as well. the insinuations, in fact down right untruths did I feel - rightly or wrongly I just had to reply to. The mere fact that it would be totally ignored should have been a part of my 'Mind set' as they have proved, if nothing else, their own aimless agenda to disrupt and pour scorn on these fine people regardless. Certainly not in the interests of the forum, and certainly not in any way shape or form for the betterment of our dying sport and it's Plight of the B.O.P. I hope this helps to clear my views and integrity. I want nothing for my self. Definately not fame, nor fortune. I've all the fame I can handle, and a little that is plenty is more than suplus.

Let’s be truthful here. Here why do I get peeved off? Here is why I rise to these senseless and vindictive actions, posts by so - called fanciers. Yes by these persons against any endeavours to help our plight! Well when trying to get members for a committee I was in contact by very many of you. I took everything aboard what I thought was good and implemented it where possible and feasible. Much of course is still stored and able to be tapped into if and as when wanted or needed. One example here and oh so very true. One thing I’m not and that’s a two – face, nor do I lie… unless to the wife, and that’s called self – presentation. A certain member on our forum P.med me a few time and long story short over a period of days we actually spoke for some time late on a Tuesday night. First of was on about Barnsley where the peregrines are nesting on the ground etc. He wanted to help in any and every way he could zand was full of advice. He urged me to be very cautious. Stated over and over again, that what ever I did, or the P.O.B decided, to remain annominous was imperative at all costs and at all times. He told me of many experiences he’d had personally, and several of his friend’s, with the RSPB and of their’ dirty tricks. THESE ranged from police raids with the RSPB leading them. Loft raids where they went through the lofts with tooth and comb. How they fitted people up that even dared to stand up to them How they’d on more than one occasion actually raided him, but he wouldn’t allow them in to his premises unless he had his solicitor, representative, and witness’s present, which he claimed many wouldn’t realise that was the legal way forward. Therefore as such they never came back with warrents etc. etc. Further in informed me, that they couldn’t legally just turn up and inspect willy – nilly. He went on about how families were and had been followed. Loved ones intimidated and threatened. Warned me that the RSPB had a very nasty fringe that thought they were above the law, and the law was just for them! Further this gentleman assured me the list was endless and nasty, that at all costs, NEVER be deceived into thinking about letting anyone’s name being known, let alone become public. He cited court cases where genuine people had been fitted up with Peregrines / Hawks etc. B.O.P were found in Dust Bins and at loft locations. He has, he assured me, even Media / paper cuttings of the dirty trick antics. one where the judge had thrown out the RSPB claims in false prosecutions. Has other press cuttings of further dirty tricks the RSPB and their nasty fringe mob did and would do etc. etc. etc. Fortunately his wife put his dinner on the table and made him come of the phone to eat it. His parting words were ‘Trust no one and don’t ever let any one know who you are, because believe me they will make life hell for you, TRUST ME! Guessed who it was yet!? Well I listened and put it in bed alongside much other thoughts and aspects. I also felt that the proven track record of the fickleness of people, especially those you are trying to help. I knew certain members would be constantly spitting in to our tent. ESPECIALLY those rejected as committee members. Names coming to the fore yet? This one fancier offered birds – Shadows they were I believe, which I didn’t know about. Besides then, and as now the P.O.B wasn’t able to take any donations etc. money as an account hadn’t been set up. OF COURSE we know the importance of not only doing what’s right but seen to be doing so! This member, yes the one that was all for us, who bade us urgently never to reveal sauces or who's names needed to be protected at all costs, then started to pee in our tent! Guessed who Yet! Yes ‘WHITE LOGAN’ Yes the very one posting as such below- will copy and paste if needed. Indeed even from weeks back.. Is it any wonder now why he pees me and others off… ? Can you wonder in the least why he was a non-enmity regards being a committee member! Let alone a satellite to bounce ideas off even! Yes like I say a SAD case. Did he ever bother to read the first part of the reality article he flays into! One which obviously referred to him with other such like. the ‘Pee in the tent mob’. Obviously not! Yet keeps the senseless spouting of same dribble. Yes every post he fabricates has already been dealt with in that very first post! Just keeps slinging mud eh, some will stick syndrome. Obviously he- and others - have an ‘Agenda’ and it certainly isn’t in the interests of our pigeon fancier, nor the plight we all face with the B.O.P This is the man now deriding the P.O.B and stating crap like Secret Societies’, calling for their names to be made known! Why…. You tell me!

Sent 16... all I had... lost 16. Yes Mick Bowler your probably right. After 50 odd years around pigeons I know you never stop learning - must have had too much luck in past, instead of knowledge and the Good Lady is taking some back. The stock I bought in from very good national winners, and good fanciers that have let me have some do well with them. So I thing your rightas there is still none home. The £20 of rings on the legs are not important. They are winged stamped. Would take and Axe and Saw and fell, cut up some wood and fill the loft up. By in summer rate coal and store it .... but am feel if i do, I might want to start again next season or so etc. ET clock stil not used lol.
-
Just to say white Logan, you have nothing to spout new. Everything you spout again and again is and has already been dealt with and if you can just read the first post on this topic again it is all there for you and such ilk to do just as you feel. Grab the mud and sling, you've run your course again to no avail. Every inuendo and slant via you is and has been covered and why. End of. A really sad man :B :( :B

Pontefract. Yep I'm gutted too. Thought 'At last I'll have a few tested yearlings - lightly raced - for next year and 10 two / three year olds'. Sunny days Yearling and Cocks birds for Middle hardish races and some hens for the real races. Distance or hard.
-
None back yet. Feeling sorry for me self ... But do have some great stockbirds... which seems silly to say as I haven't any of their youngster. :-/
-
Repetition, nothing new to spout! ... with fingers in ears no doubt lol ;D ;D ;D
-
He wanted you to buy it :-/
-
Being sillier than ever if possible lol :) ;D ;D

Exactly lenwadebob, and you have, and are showing the decency of allowing others to da as they wish and not trying to belittle or thawt others progress. Like I said to you, you are sharp enough to know what is what and have respect, unlike some sad folks. Yes I would keep in for three years if I was cutting my nose off to spite my face. If the whole lot of us that agreed to it actually did it, that would me 50 people tops first couple of weeks and then as people realised that in it's self, 4 weeks later they'd be 5 - 8 of us. hardly make a dent that lenwadebob. Fine by me if you get a following crowd to do that, count me in. Unlike some sad folks on here, I actual am one that puts up or shuts up.

:) Sad :( ;D ;D ;D And I'm oh so truthful eh! ;D ;D
