    SPARE COCKS

hat great fellows mostr are in this game ... sorry a few like me too lol ;D ;D ;D Well done lads, you make us all proud.
  2. Well have been using the mesh today. there is so much on the roll that I've decided, and give this helpful tip out now, once you decide to use it, find a place where it can be permantly laying down. Great stuff. when I think I was getting 5metres for £22 or more eh! Would be still working on my loft - am revamping as most know, but am off shortly to do a 'Fund - Raiser at Kings Lynn.... East Dereham tomorrow. We raised a few hundreds on Satuday night. Indeed quite a bit over the last week or so. Great speaking to you Pete/ Nice to put a name to a face and personlise I guess. Great meeting Tammy too. And Simeon Turners ad. Hes was pushed for time, but a no nonsence great straight to the point guy too. Hope I'm not Hi jacking this thread lol. P.s spent 5 hours walking around Meadowhall Shopping centre. Gave Joyce a wedge as usual. Suprised me, she actually bought two items nearing a fiver. Lol Tight git eh! lol ;D ;D ;D
  3. I think the problem is, here, folks keep refering to the 'Pigeon' and not the loft. Has to go in etc. Avairy etc. etc. IT is the ConfineS of the loft we are talking about, Not Confine, nor Confined etc. and certainly not a mention of where and what the pigeon does.
  4. So why havent teams clocked onto this crap theory? ;D want a bet they wont win anything? Yeah I think that's a tenner bet there. Chelsea will win the title, Man U aren't - IMO good enough this season for Europe. Always of course in with a shout for the F.A. Cup, and the Carlin Cup ... Knock out the Carlin Cup and I'd put a tenner up with confidence. But will give it a show. £10 if you want then with the Carlin Cup also in. Liverpool have to win something, as Aston Villa and Spurs etc. Everton of course so one of them will halt them. Mind it is nigh impossible to imagin Man U winning nowt! :-/

    Ali v Tyson

Well the toughest and hardest and best punchers like Foreman who was a tremedous puncher couldn't. :-/ :-/
  6. Yes very True..... But Manu have alsways done it!

    Ali v Tyson

Think when Ali took Tysons shots early on Tyson would have been looking for a way out. Listen, Number three easily in my books, wasn't ever hurt in real terms by Ali. The fruastration and humiliation, like Robert Duran in his second fight against Lennard, was too much. They both would stand and fight till the cows came home. Brave men that accepted pain. Tyson never did. Couldn't cope with anyone that stood up to him. And Ali was certainly no coward and stood up to Great, punchers and box Punchers alike. JMO

    Ali v Tyson

Ali of course. Does one really think that a Joe Frazier was less trouble than Tyson :-/ Frazier had power, grit and determination. Was relentless and just didn't back off.... And unlike Tyson wasn't a Bully Boy and stood up to be counted. Tyson looked for the canvass when Buster Douglas wouldn't caw wao to him. Was finished then as every body knew 'Face Tyson and he'll flee. Yes lame excuses etc. the lot.... But having slatting him off ther, he was one hell of a fighter.... especially when on top. But in reality wouldn't get ointo the top 20 all time greats, let alone top 10. Liston would have frightened him so bad he'd have bit the referee's ear to get chucked out be fore it started ;D
  9. Confines means within a 'District. Within boundaries. Nothing to do with Confined, that's why it's spelt different
  10. Exactly! It happens. Besides you - like most - are trying equate fairness. Right / wrong and morals. There is any in our sport.
  11. (n.)1.a bounded scope"he stayed within the confines of the city" Events that came to pass within the confines of Judea. --Locke.
  12. Did, simple Outside under the landing board is legal. Simple All the ET sellars say that that it is legal. The spelling and wording make it simple... It is legal. Why most flyers are doing it! Simple that too. So where is there any doubt or lack of simplicity :-/ :-/ :-/ Keep it simple. It is legal. Further that is why no one has ever been pulled over the coals, because it's legal Simple reality is that many are trying to read it differently, Now that is simple lol Strueth give us strength lol ;D ;D
  13. It is within the confinesof the loft so legal. No good splitting hairs and spouting scenario's. Simple fact is, whether one likes it or not, for whatever advantage etc. there is no ruling that the Et must be inside the loft - In Canada it has to be insid the UPRIGHT of the Loft. Again nothing to say the bird has to be contained. Only way to get legistration as to what you want to believe is get the Regional RPRA - or whatever body to vote your way, then to get the Governing body to be out voted on this issus, and You have more chance peeing in the Queens ear from 50 yards in a head wind. Just why does one think the RPRA for example gets emboied in this. Simple because whether one likes it or not, it is 'WITHIN' tyhe confines of the loft full stop. Not Confined, and the bird Definately NOT confined to the loft. Strueth can see have one can't understand that, when the ET brigade that fit the set up for one, the Builders that are informed as such, carry on merrily doing what the Ruling states, within the confines. Now if the lofts confines are a 50 yard radious, and the clock is placed upon an adjacent fence, then so be it, that is legal.... not saying that one puts it on top of the chimney etc. like used to be banded about. con·fine (kn-fn) v. con·fined, con·fin·ing, con·fines v.tr. 1. To keep within bounds; restrict: Please confine your remarks to the issues at hand. See Synonyms at limit. 2. To shut or keep in, especially to imprison. 3. To restrict in movement: The sick child was confined to bed. v.intr. Archaic To border. n. (knfn) 1. CONFINES a. The limits of a space or area; the borders: within the confines of one county. b. Restraining elements: wanted to escape the confines of corporate politics. c. Purview; scope: a theory that is well within the confines of science. 2. a. Archaic A restriction. b. Obsolete A prison. http://www.thefreedictionary.com/confines Think the first one A. shows the radious of Confines. Think all - without looking them all up say the same.
  14. It is broke, that's for certain. Even Rasbulls last auction went over time. Then there was debate over which counted and whos bid actually won.... and would still be going on now if -YET again the buyer sorted it out themselves. Besides that Just where is there any harm in applying a sensible solution that benefits everyone and leaves not a shadow of doubt eh! :-/ :-/ Any I wasn't refering to this auction, but to future auctions.
  15. Realism lol ;D ;D
  16. Within the confines of a loft can be 20 yards outside, or on an avairy! Not Confide, Nor confinded. The confines of a loft, like any thing else, is anything that is a Part of, or within the confines. Nothing ever said within! But within the confines. Mine is inside after the Bob wires when set it up. Othes in club are 50 / 50, some under the landing board, legal, and some not. Best one Googles and Dictionary exactly what it means I guess.
  17. A musician named Dave Carroll recently had difficulty with United Airlines. United apparently damaged his treasured Taylor guitar ($3500) during a flight. Dave spent over 9 months trying to get United to pay for damages caused by baggage handlers to his custom Taylor guitar. During his final exchange with the United Customer Relations Manager, he stated that he was left with no choice other than to create a music video for youtube exposing their lack of cooperation. The Manager responded : "Good luck with that one, pal". So he posted a retaliatory video on youtube. The video has since received over 5.5 million hits. United Airlines contacted the musician and attempted settlement in exchange for pulling the video. Naturally his response was: "Good luck with that one, pal". Taylor Guitars sent the musician 2 new custom guitars in appreciation for the product recognition from the video that has led to a sharp increase in orders. Here's the video ....
  18. Very true on all accounts. As we say, take a flipping good o /b to beat a youngster.
  19. Welcome, but sad this is Rollers get hit harder than racers etc. All pigeon get hit of course.
  20. Had late July Birds flew 469 miles. Also a September Late bred that won the Scotish averages on her own next season. Did it twice more too and in another club. Old birds won't keep up with youngsters. Some say that you tire them and burn them out :-/ Never seen a youngster that runs and plays all day, out for the count then next day raring to go again. Likewise with pigeons I'm a thinking. Like I say Was in canada when the flew 2 - 3 400miles and over BACK to back!
  21. I don't mean to take away from this thread, so please forgiveme this intrusion, but of course I can't open a thread on this site / topic. So quickly to say. I think a good idea regards the closing would be 10 O'clock and THEN winning bid accepted after last bid. So 10 to 10 the auction hots up etc. so they can then carry one until there has been a 10 minute lapse. makes sense to me. And would save any last minute debates just as to who got the last bid in. So 10 O'clock finished unless there is a flurry, then the 10minute lull means it is simplified. Woiuld also save - sometimes - that last ditch bid out doing a keen buyer! JMO but I think it will soon be a must. Sorry again.
  22. I agree wholeheartedly with Frank.... So so sorry to hear of this, it touches my heart – (no jokes please). My heart felt condolences goes with all who knew this brave child. Talk about 'Lest we forget' this is certainly one case where it is NOT a release of 4 - 6 birds as the the norm that is required. I think we should nigh fill the skies. Whites and Gays, any white that look white flying being released first. Then again, why not a release of whites pigeons to be followed by a mega release of an assortment 'Pigeons' full stop? I for one will gladly donate say £30 to pay / buy for a 'White' of anyone’s that has one that can be released here. I think the great young lady deserves as such from many our fanciers.

    My jokes

Since I retired and have a little time on hands I thought I'd do a little as a commedian for good causes. I visit a few old folks homes each week and tell them jokes like.... Though many can't hear, and most that can don't understand the jokes .... it hasn't stopped them peeing them selfs ;D ;D
  24. I think you're right. Als Ron Greenaways 57 bird winner was a busseart if I'm not mistaken ... mind just got up like lol ;D

    The Badge

DEA officer stops at a ranch in Texas, and talks with an old rancher. He tells the rancher, "I need to inspect your ranch for illegally grown drugs." The rancher says, "Okay, but do not go in that field over there," as he points out the location. The DEA officer verbally explodes saying, " Mister, I have the authority of the Federal Government with me." Reaching into his rear pants pocket, he removes his badge and proudly displays it to the rancher. "See this badge? This badge means I am allowed to go wherever I wish . . . . On any land. No questions asked or answers given. Have I made myself clear? Do you understand?" The rancher nods politely, apologizes, and goes about his chores. A short time later, the old rancher hears loud screams and sees the DEA officer running for his life chased by the rancher's big Santa Gertrudis bull . . . With every step the bull is gaining ground on the officer, and it seems likely that he'll get gored before he reaches safety. The officer is clearly terrified. The rancher throws down his tools, runs to the fence and yells at the top of his lungs . . . . . "Your badge. Show him your BADGE!"
