  2. Personally, - though I have no time for the lad, I'd not cheer or be pleased if he doesn't go and win.Indeed even if he won the Grand Slam next year. It would be good for the home nations, especially Scotland of course. Mind I'd never vote for him for the 'Sportsman of the Year' as that would be a travesty of justice and indeed put the old shenbang upside dawn and be a mockery to genuine sportsmen and women. For a great tennis player he may well be, a sportsmans never in a year of Sundays.
  3. I do like them last two. Now that is good humour. Indeed humour at it's best eh!
  4. then that would mean that they were hoping for a 'Penalty shoot out'. I don't think you mean that of course. But they were pathetic to say the least. It makes me wonder on that showing just how good Brazil are? After all they only drew, and couldn't score.... Yes niether wanted to lose granted, which may well have had some bearing on the way the game was played.
  5. Seems that they never even bother to acknowleadge Ronaldo. Just the odd time he got onto the end of a ball... left him up there on his own and out of the way and ignored it seemed. Like France did with Henry in the Euro's. Many believed it cost them real dear that year too. But it does seem more and more that being a Prima donna is still as unacceptable today as it has always been. A 'Lord Big head' just being put up with, the more and more disliked till not allowed to play with the others regardless. Think some forget that their' 'Team mates' are also pretty good in their' own right. May or may not be true he was deliberately ignored, but he certainly needn't have bothered turning up. Pleased Spain won though. Their' passing was a joy to watch. Reminded me how they tore England to bits not so long back in a friendly.... thought then 'Glad this IS a friendly ...' lol
  6. Always told, 'Egg or Young in May will fly all the way'. Yes IT is proven every year. Late June bred birds flew 469 Miles end of September for me.
  7. Well I am away next week. Joyce has told me we are getting married. Well she who must be obeyed told me few weeks ago now. So I was frogged marched down sheepishly to the registy office and told how to save money. Regististy's are going private very shortly and two registras have said upto £700 may well be the going rate... So the scottish 'Would be in me' says 'Move quick and save up to £600'. Very canny that I think lol. Then off to Wales for a few days.... Back for my second race on Friday at Thurso.

  9. Seems to be catching on this drowning of birds. Saw a clip where a sea catches and drowns a pigeon... nearly but got frightened of. Don't know the outcome like.
  10. Yep true Kirky, I have a great respect and fondness of the Scots, even if they do cost us English a fortune in subsidising them. Mind one has too have really when one takes into consideration how 'Put Down' they feel - Mind not without just cause granted - But it wasn't untill we educated them. Gave them a reason to exist and feel as if they could be someone, something, a nation that could achieve something, anything... even if to no avail, if they have failed miserably, so yes one does have to feel a little compassion for the less fortunate eh! .... without patronising them eh!
  11. Cheap players that's all with English methods one just had to show the world what they could do.... even with the handicap of some jocks in the line up eh!

  13. Do I HAVE to educate you yet again? It’s the Celtic song the Scots embraced about a Weed. Think the bloke was smoking it when it was written lol. Where a little truth is embellished with a little wanting and myths. Rekindling of make believes of over 700 years ago. When a few untrue stories are added regards a battle against a King that wasn’t even there! Indeed wasn’t even in the country, let alone sent home to think again. All to give a sad nation a little pride, sadly it just proves how long a nation has gone, over a thousand years to get one upon the English to no avail. It is intended to lift the demoralised souls of a nation, which fail – yet again disastrously, for it only enlightens the truth that they have never done it and have in fact nothing to crow about. No wonder it warms the cockles of an English mans heart to hear them sing his praise. Te freely admit that they’ve never risen to the occasion in anything lol Yep its call The flower of Scotland

  17. Ouch!!! You're gonna live to regret not knowing that mucker... A sharp intake of breathe. Have I got to translate for you? Leave it once again to the English eh to set it straight lol
  18. reminded me of the class of 78 so what does that say about the mighty england. as for chris hoy it was the whole of britain that voted doughheed. I tried to explained to you that your' votes etc. are far out number by the English, so yes it is the English Vote that carries the majority by far - OgF course that is how it should be, educated and sensible persons, not scallywags and bias ignots lol .can you tell me exactly when england played.and if your that brilliant - Well that is countless, but don't want to rubb your nose in it any more lol why is it that the guy you got was about fourth on the list. and when your prepared to pay 6 million quid a year youll get just about anybody except the best. That is rather silly to say the least. He has a proven record, can mange the inflated Ego's of so - called super stars. Seems he upset a few prima donna's, and the F.A. haven't backed him. First off, get shot of that thug Rooney. A no brainer. Greg Johnson - as they said - actually defended once and twice was in his correct position Lampard will never be a player either for his country... get shot of him. Cappello had his hands tied. So he has told the B.O.D. apparently free my hands or I'm off. Otherwise they will run around like headless chicken thinking owning a Ferarri means they've made it. Talking about headless chickens, that was exactly howthe Scottish side of 78 played. Deplorable, and had argueably as good as squad as any... just no brain matter to work together.

  20. Hi Frankie, I hope you enjoy it. I'll support wholeheartedly any Home country regardless of the sport / or whatever goal they hope to achieve. Sorry to say, and being honest here, I won't be personally cheering on the fellow with the Irish sounding name. He is the only acception. Yes a self admitted bigot and racist. One who freely admits he hates the English .... But to be fair it was nice to see him eat humble pie and bow, not once but twice to the Queen. It may well be that Wimbledon had read him the 'Riot act' and enforced this action. I think personally they must have, it being the most likely case. Gosh he'll be really miffed if he doesn't do it now after Bowing to the great lady and giving his honour to an English Queen. - Though there is very much evidence that the Scottish blood, and German too, runs through the royal viens lol. So h'll make that his excuse undoubtedly lol. But having said that, it would be good for Scotland, and him to win. Will be he first Scotsman. Been 75 years since a home nation, I.e. Fred Perry won it three times on the trot. The last of 30 winners we've had. Like the 30 Women that have also won it from these shores -Daren't say English lol so I wholeheartedly hope he does for Scotland, and be their first. Incidently before any jocks spout his the best Brit of recent times, the fact is he still has a long way to go for that honour. But if he does, then he'll be the first Brit since 1936, and Scotlands first I believe. May well stand correct there.
