  1. On looking at the results Peter Virtue flys a good one, and Jim Donaldson Peterhead also must also rank high up in the list and also G Rankin & Son top results from these 3 fanciers. Un-fair to pick a best as they are all good.
  2. 2 birds home from final race and sold but i have not recieved any £££ ?
  3. 16th & 17th Jan2010

    dublin show

I will also be there from Friday night penning the racing birds in the show, hope to meet some of you there. Eamon.
  7. The Gits pigeons i had threw up feather legs also, mostly Reds. I do get occasional feather legs through my Wildermeerch also. SL
  8. Welcome Joe to basics.
  9. All my birds are now on 50% Barley and 50% Versa Laga Moulting. I put Carrs products over the corn 3 times a week to help with the moult. No point paying good money on mixtures when the birds are not racing.
  10. Watch out for the BOPs as they will be hungry. We tend to let out only on good days now just for a bath. the birds do need rest and time and peace to moult.
  11. I split the sexes as soon as racing is over then they will pair easier in the new year.
  12. We stay in the Cliffs. Great Hotel and food all weekend. Lots of fanciers there for a bit of craic.

  15. Good luck - and enjoy the birds.
  16. Gerald has the best of these. First class birds and big winners also.
  17. You should show for the prestige of winning the show and not the money. I always rate winning the classes more important than what money you recieve. Shows should be run to make the organisations money to help with the yearly finances, yes a certain ammount should be paid out but not alot.
  18. I have never put garlic oil over the corn but i have used garlic in the water. Peel a clove and just drop it in easy! I do use Carrs products over the corn especially the Turbo Boost oil during moulting and also the Naturavit oil when racing. I personally think that you have to give the oils over the corn during the moult as it will produce the silky feathering and the birds will practactily slide through your hand. 2 - 3 times a week. SL
  19. Even if the 18 classes were split, 50% racing classes and 50% Show classes it would be worth travelling to. have to get some show birds lol
  20. Got the entry form through the post and have to say dissapointed. 6 racing classes...no good at all. I was going to bring birds over but not now. When we go to Dublin there is 16 classes and 10 of which are racing classes, that is a show!
  21. 12 away to Rosscarbery 230 miles.
  22. AND HE IS GETTING CLOSER TO THE FRONT COVER
  23. No bother Chris, as Char is doing a great job on the site i would gladly send you something to try out. Eamon
  24. Auction results are also on the Galway web site www.westwingslofts.com
  25. Results were on pigeonnetwork. Winner sold for 500 euro. Alot of birds averaged 40 - 50 euro each.
