id say it helps build the immune system,a bit like giving probiotics.ive never had any young going wrong with ybs since putting them on litter.

in my opinion nothing is better than deep litter or dry droppings for youngsters.nothing to do with being lazy its for the birds benefit.

had deep litter down in all lofts for 2 years.at the end of last season took it all out.just put my stock back on it (nedzbed) was going to put them all on it but ive enjoyed cleaning out that much im not going to bother.do 40ft in no time....

sbelbin did the young do any good for your club mate?they sound clever to me.heard of it happening on the pens.not as far as it did with yours though.

i paid £3.75p per bale.id say its a touch more courser than the easy bed.the reason i got it was the lass who worked at the equine store used it her self and assured me it was better for horses and not a bit of dust.like i said time will tell.ps the birds are happy on it.
