  3. Lol. It does open your eyes bob.thank goodness we are that poor over here everybody has a chance!!!
  4. Dunbar is nae use Tom! Drove today at 6am to Hexham to see a wee pal about a new car, astra estate as usual!went down the 74 where the weather was not that good then drove home up the a1 and had a wee chuckle to myself as I stopped at the one loft race at lamberton, then coldingham,Duns Ayton,st Abbs etc etc etc,and the next time I am down that way I will have another wee chuckle!!!
  5. Don't think so m8 but I could be wrong though,130k in the biscuit tin maybe time to open it!!
  6. Not sure about that m8 350 miles to central Scotland with a 10.30 lib was always going to be tight, sure there will be plenty doos about in the morning.
  7. We used airdrie football stadium which was IMO a great venue with plenty parking, very roomy and very cool for everyone and the doos! but for some reason was not liked by some fanciers.
  8. Well done young andrew
  9. Thanks joe
  10. The above bird is with Davie Halliday Bonnybridge on 01324815834.
  11. Well done andy another good win.
  12. Great race at Newbury but IMO no need for the comeback race, these birds are just about ready for the next 4 races, maidstone, alencon,Ypres and tours and plenty to chose from,I wish it was me,good luck! ;)
  13. Don't follow your last bit John?
  14. Yes I know you lads do,I do think something will need to give somewhere though.
  15. You don't read my posts often Derek,I do not want to lose any of the races! I do feel a large percentage of the membership feel the first race takes birds from the gold cup and others also feel we have too many nationals, this would be my compromise,so del me personally I would prefer STATUS QUO.
  16. Said it before most of the uk classic and national clubs have a similar programme to the SNFC and see no problem with the current format,if due to demand we have to drop a race it would be the first race for me and start with the coastal race the week before the gold cup, hopefully this would appease some of the lads who blame this race for falling channel numbers later on. cater for all must be the way forward to avoid the camper van towing a trailer with a saltire on the back for the very few who go to the long WANs!!!! ;)
  17. Good yin jock there is a big programme though with races from 300,400,500 and 600 miles, the english national flying club for 60 years started at Nantes with fanciers as short as 140 miles and some over 400 miles, food for thought and IMO the first inland national gives the birds a look at what is required with national racing.
  18. Well done the winners, tough going for the lads in the forth&clyde though.
  19. Last time I flew Huntingdon with the Glasgow fed was about the millennium time and same as today it was a very wet and windy with full returns, the strange thing that day was we were in the final of the club knockout and finished up 2nd federation and believe it lost the knockout final to Delboy! :o Great memories well done again on your win Stuart, not sure about up this way and times etc.
  20. You might be right bill
