shotgun tim dont think mr bosworth has poor pigeons,to have won 3 nationals including rennes gold cup and 4 gold awards and also over 300 national diplomas,this would not be possible with inferior stock??????

could be mistaken but maybe another national legend john bosworth of elphinstone is the owner of the above champ! :)

again "me" seems a simple answer to a simple question,as always with your comments there is a touch of sarcasm, took jock allan as i found him,i know my history like yourself and definately no one better in the west section.

met dick on only a few occassions seemed an amiable sort of chap,have read your other comments on national legend jock allan and can only say he was 100% with myself and delboy,yes he was no angel, who is homer? as my old dad says there is always 3 sides to a story yours, mine and the correct one. ;) national legend and one of scotlands all time greatest fanciers.

wee bit of educating the wife required,my wife waits till the race prog comes out then after a wee look at dates we sort out our holidays. :)

most fanciers believe that the base of jocks birds were from the great davie angus of symington,mention is made of another fancier from the same village i think by the name of brown who jock carried out some joinery work for with payment being a particular doo that had taken his fancy,jocks first national prize was won at 16 years of age from guersney with the snfc in 1949 and his last prize from vire 2000,whilst in the company of another pb member in jocks house a sack was produced containing all of his national certificates after counting over 230 we stopped,remember 15/1 and no inland nationals in these days,spent a lot of smashing nights at jocks talking doos and eating cheese and toast,great times. :) :)

quiet a few of pigeon basics members have scored with jock allan blood,lanarkshire lad,delboy,alec guiness & also if you go back a wee bit you will find jock allan blood in quiet a few of george & gareth rankins pedigrees. ;)

the years 1978-1982 with over 3000 birds in the west section of the gold cup jock was only beaten by 11 pigeons in the section over the 5 year period winning the section on three of these years,this i am sure will never bettered,and yes his bloodlines are still winning in todays nationals.world class. :) :) :)

try it this season for the fed open & ybn homer!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)

some great fanciers and doos in lanarkshire,in an earlier post it was mentioned the snfc gold cup west section,in the last 10 years it has been won by fanciers in midland,s/lanarkshire,glasgow ballochmyle and also lanarkshire federations,so great fanciers and birds in the WHOLE of the section. ;)

going up the bowling club with my good lady,theres a wee turn on who are pretty good,will have a few magners and ice,up early tomorrow to pair up the racers. :) :)

think you are living in the past,the west section birds homing from the traditional route happens few and far between,read the posts most feds in recent years having a go at the old line due to the losses with old birds revert to the east side for the young birds.check the stats. ;) ;)
