  5. the proposed programme seems to be pretty good,in the past fanciers would have flown cheltenham and dorchester two weeks before the rennes race dont see a problem with newbury and eastbourne. :-/
  6. read this post and find myself scratching my head i actually cant believe the complete tosh people come up with,i hate to think what the fanciers on pigeon basics (outwith scotland)make of this post and so many similar ones. :( >
  7. great to see the lsc boys looking after each other. :)
  8. one good thing about pigeons. nothing like waiting on a saturday for the doos coming from a race even better if they are coming from a national, nice day maybe may/june/july,at the smallholding waiting with ma dad, my mum making the dinner, with a wee bit luck maybe a good timer from the national, off with the clock then a few magners and ice up the bowling club with the wife,up early sunday morning get the doos cleaned, just one wee thing i love about my doos so many more reasons. :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

  14. yes i think ravenstruther, spoke to him at the shu agm just last week, RIP.
  15. i dont see a problem with buying doos,do your homework and identify the fancier and performances that you want, make contact with the fancier and if ok arrange a visit,if you are happy with the fanciers birds ask if you can buy some possibly latebreds from his there best or maybe youngsters to race,i think fanciers today are too quick to buy doos on impulse from bhw, internet, and other avenues without doing the spadework, get off your backsides and go and find these good birds they are there if you look hard enough. ;) ;)
  16. we use it before pairing the stock doos, gives a wee help to the older chaps. ;D ;D ;D
