went down to the breeding lofts of alistair kerrs in ayrshire in 2004 with pal john bosworth where we bought 12 leo van rijn youngsters each,lovely type of bird raced all 24 between us left with one which turned into a champion for john winning thousands of pounds in national racing and is now dam and g/dam of national winners for john,he has now scored with these birds from ypres and thinks they will further. :)

bit earlier this year,usually first week in january,will be there all being well,like the first two classes which i have been lucky enough to have won in the past. :) dont think i have that special wee doo this year though,but who knows.

just an opinion lewis,all national winners are fantastic and make the fanciers the stuff of folklore,hope you got your trophy mate,the night was a great success and seeing some of the north west federation trophies going back decades lined with famous names past and present it was a priviledge to present them. :) :)

had a great night at the uddingston presentation,nice to see wee george (pigeon guy 147) being the principle prize winner closely followed by wee mick,trophies were well shared,really good buffet and the turn was pretty good although his teenage son was some singer for a young boy,billy graham and secretary big jim cameron did the speaking in the absense of president matt stevenson.nice to see a few lads from pb there,well done uddingston. :) :)was in the company of lanarkshire lad,cheers jim. :)

always a good night john,well done to all the winners and looking forward to next year already.

not too sure,just going out the door to the north west fed presentation at grangemouth where me and my good lady are doing the honours. :) would love a fish supper though. :D

yes bob john is making a good recovery,he has said he is giving up weekly club and federation racing,john has a few reasons why which i am sure he will write about,he will all going well be flying the SNFC races next year.he is back down to 8 pairs of birds as he felt the numbers had crept up. :)

long story frank,was given a pair of l/b youngsters from good pal jackie herd,the hen was for john harwood as a present from jackie and i was asked if i would like the cock which i said great(dam 4xsnfc certificates 500mls,2nd and 3rd sec, sire 1st and 2nd combine 500mls)well jackie never saw mr harwood for a few months and jackie being jackie at the windup asked john how the PAIR of youngsters were getting on,john took a while to get over "the stolen cock".he has been a smashing doo though. :) :)
